- This is a Step by Step tutorial on how to use Finviz screener to pick winning stocks to swing trade. I call this "The Dark Money Scan".
Picking stocks to swing trade and day trade can be quite simple once you have an idea of what best fits your trading style. If you have been wondering how to pick winning stocks, this scan has been quite successful for me.
Keep in mind, I do understand technical analysis and have been trading stocks for quite sometime now. The stock market has a lot of risk involved so it's always best to think of yourself as a risk manager.
Finviz and Stock Charts are both great free resources to use to pick and develop your winning swing trades for stocks. I use the finviz stock screener in this video and walk you through the 3 filters I use for this setup.
THE DARK MONEY SCAN:
The idea behind "The Dark Money Scan" is that we are looking for stocks that have all of a sudden seen a huge increase in volume but the price has not made a significant move to show for that type of volume increase.
One of the main filters we use is Relative Volume (RVol). RVol is a ratio. It is derived by comparing current volume to average volume for the same time of day. Finviz Screener compares it to a 3 month volume weighted average.
When you run the scan you need to use your technical analysis skills to determine if a stock looks like it is about to break out, or perhaps it already broke out but could be over extended and a pullback might occur.
I go over 2 different charts and walk you through how I would potentially trade them.
There are many ways on how to use finviz stock screener for finding and picking swing trading setups. This is just one of the many ways!

or two days or a week or more?
And can you give me a suitable filter for the price increase from the beginning of the market opening to its closing with a profit of approximately 15-20%

That's the same thing. If you are looking to buy an option on the stock, then use the same analysis to find the strike price, and determine what your call/put........option........is going to be. If you are confused on how to do this, then you aren't ready to trade options profitably. Keep studying or you will be losing money.

Wonderful hook! Even if I was uninterested in securities, the first 10 seconds would demand a watch.
The biggest loss I had was when I had a stop loss and the price gaped down. The biggest gain I have had when I held a stock that lost 74% of its value and I held it to see it rebound to more than triple my buy price or 12 times its low. Don't let stop losses be your death by 1000 cuts.

You have to use it daily to find opportunities. Take notice where the market is too. I can tell you are an impatient emotional person. Id say stay away from this game, that personality type gets burned quickly. Best of luck
