Rare footage of Norman (Dinky) Diamond on drums,Tragically committed suicide.Unbelievably due to noisy neighbours which is quite ironic.Once won Premier drums drummer of the year.sadly missed ,
Black Bonzo! Are you out there? This is who you guys were trying to sound like and you did a great job doing it. OK, you successfully emulated Uriah Heep too. But your singing style? Man, that's right out of the Russell Mael playbook. Cool!
Do you think Ron Mael (keyboards) was ever phased by success? I don't think he would be phased if you put 10,000 volts through him! Great to see Sparks still recording and touring over 40 years on.
Russell survived on marshmellows and lukewarm coconut milk with a slice of pineapple in those days... which enabled him to keep both his angelic singing voice and those looks, looks, looks.

Beautiful....but "Propaganda" was Sparks' exit from their exciting two years of brilliant pop.....a few isolated pearls exempted. Ron's silly creepy mustachioed act began to bore also.....he must've influenced Freddy M....though......
Simply beautiful . . . .
And Russel has a unique, wonderful voice.

Often immatated but never bettered
I have it on a LP called Introducing Sparks it might be a South Africa only release.
Introducing Sparks was 3 albums later than Propaganda from which this is taken. Lord knows how it ended up on a SA release.

Pineapple - rich in vitamin C.
Pineapple fulfills every need.
This is a quality song. I am surprised it has not been covered more, by someone like Celine Dion.
Oh God,not her
Please no. Spare us that thought.

lokks like it's in play back, backing voices without any singer on stage !
Ron's ears look a bit fake @0:47
Woody Harrelson is singing
The pancake makeup is heavier than usual on Tiny Tim, while even Angry Hitler can't keep a straight face this time...
Bunch of weirdos, but a good song.
I prefer the Martin Gore cover version.
