When he says "dog necklaces and dog houses" its not really an insult he's saying they're like an animal under the control of their owners who think those things are important but they're just given to them by their owners who decided to give it to them. Basically saying society rewards those it choose to reward and then they show it off as if they earned it because they're special but they're not really.

When Yoongi and RM joins hands to produce music, they have a very weird but also satisfying dynamic, because they are opposites. Yoongi takes a realistic approach and sometimes comes off as pessimistic, but RM always goes a different from normal perspective and so he appears optimistic. Bapsae is like this too. Yoongi criticising, RM pointing out a different perspective. It's such an amazing dynamic.
Gotta love BTS rapline really. They are so diverse as individuals but that makes them a very interesting team.
Just 3 raplines have different styles, no wonder they never ran out of music ideas. They could live off on songs from making songs with 3 different perspectives, that's from rapline alone.

STRANGE ft RM lyrics r so eye opening for what is going on around the world and how we actually are living. No one is living fairly .We're living in a society that we can't even have a dream to achieve we even try to dream about different things & we'd see which 1 would fit more +to the society we are living. We can't speak out about how we feel cause that would be "wrong" . We all do live in an unfair society but we have to accept that. If I explained every lyric in this music it would be a whole book omg. It is so well made. ❤

This is what I love about agust d/suga/ yoongi’s music and lyrics. He always has a message and points out what is going on in the world or even what he’s gone through in his life. That’s what makes it more relatable and makes you think. And Namjoon’s lyrics are like that as well. Both of them together is just eye opening and really makes you think.

I think the reference to dog necklaces and dog collars is actually referring to the fact that we are all “owned” by the system, and yet everyone thinks it’s still worthwhile to argue who has the better lot in life within this system that we are controlled by.
