It’s simple science actually, lying down one nail is enough to go into you, but if you have enough nails, the weight distribution actually prevents the nails from puncturing your skin

Nope. Nails that are that close to each other act as a flat surface when you lay on top of them. Your weight distribution prevents them from even pricking your skin. It's a physics trick, nothing more.
