This is just such a Regi set. I think it is aimed at his fans and a Belgian audience in particular. I like that he doesn't change his style for Tomorrowland and stays true to himself. Anyone who has seen one of his "Regi in the Mix" show will recognise the random, chaotic but always high energy set with lots of mic use. Not everyone's cup of tea, but that's his style and he's been true to it for decades .

regi put down another amazing mainstage just like in 2016 but i liked his mainstage from now a lot more and ps peole who are the biggest belgian dj's ow yeah Dimitri Vegas&Like Mike , Yves V and Regi so people that are having critic on one of them you have critic to all Belgian DJ's so please respect him.
You like it or you don't like it but I like this DJ-set. This is indeed not about using the "loop key" for 16 or more frames hearing 5 minutes the same boring beat/tune and effects. This is fast mixing tracks in a seamless way. I love this style. But that's my personal opinion.
Dear Regi, you really need to improve 3 things: - How u are talking with the mic and put it down sometimes please. To much talking. - Produce more music. - And most important: Stop playing random tracks with no sense. Play with a purpose. Give a sense to the set please. If u do this, u will be better in ur career. Much better. Sorry, but I have to deslike this.
lol He already has a very succesfull career for many, many years. He doesn't need your advice on that. :) This is just his style and he has a loyal fanbase. He also sells out every year for weeks when he does his concerthall stuff. He always fast mix tracks and in his concerts he uses live performance aswell with a singer. He's like this because he started with Vinyl when DJ's had to mix every minute or two minutes instead of using endless loops and beats. And about producing more music? He's been producing probably the longest of every dj on Tomorrowland. :) This set is what a traditional oldskool house party was all about.
Do you really know Regi? look for Regi in the mix or regimania concerts. He had his own Tv show in Belgium (Regi's World)and is also one of the The Voice coaches, but maybe He need to change a bit to achieve international success. I know him. I dont like the way he speaks to the crowd. He is really boring. No tension on the voice, not even a clear phrase. He simply doesnt know how to speak. Check Armin van buuren for example. Not to much talking, and when it does, it makes chills and all the crowd reacts. About his set, for me still random tracks with nonsense or purpose. About his productions: Its just a few compared to other top djs. I really like his track "Where did you go", but I think he could do much better sets. Starting the way he uses the mic.

About productions look for Regi Penxten at ultratop.be site, you can find more than 300 songs, most djs are babies compared to him. A few months ago he posted a picture with Armin on studio, let's see what comes from it.
Regi for me will always be the front man for Milk inc. He works out best when he is with the band doing a live show. He's no dummy though, he has made some money in his time!

I agree & disagree. I agree on putting down his mic and doing less mashups. But I disagree on the rest. I loved his set. He made a nice selection of tracks and did excellent mixing. And yes he did include at least 3 of his own tracks... Been following regi and milk inc since the 90s .....regi has been a very underrated DJ all his career.
He's very good and I think he's gotten better .
