"Absolutely Disastrous" Keir Starmer Causes Wealth EXODUS From UK

- Isabel Oakeshott and Kevin O'Sullivan discuss a potential exodus of British millionaires due to fears over Keir Starmer's Labour Government.
They also denounce the chancellor's plan to impose a 10% fuel duty, which will burden motorists and small businesses, and the smoking ban in pub gardens, which they argue will lead to pub closures.

Small countries are usually the most comfortable (and also make it easy for Westeners to settle as they want reasonably skilled/educated people to come). Even Eastern Europe is better than the UK nowadays (you have to take a cut in wages, but cost of living is also much lower, in return you get personal liberties unimaginable in the UK, and once you qualify for a UK pension you'll be quite well off for local standards). "27 years of Blairism" ... Yawn ...
Increasing taxes doesn't mean the government increases it's income, just means people spend less money, use less services, eat out less. Finally there comes a tipping point when people have no disposable income at all, people cannot support themselves, the service industry declines and unemployment increases.
If anyone had the Financial means they would leave.
When the UK finally left the EU I moved all my investments out of the UK. Steal my freedom but you cannot steal the little wealth I have.
Some started to leave in 2016 and when they did see Labour to be in power. Even more have left between 2022 and 2024. Just leaving the UK and closing their properties. The hedge funders are all kinds of organisations some are pension groups. Well, done the Labour Party. The next thing we will see is job losses. Retailers have already said that they are shutting some shops. But the Oil and Gas industry has warned that they will no longer invest in the North Sea and no more job recruitment. They also said that there could be job losses. Well done to all who want green energy. The knock-on effect of loss of investments will affect sub-contractors and suppliers. The parts of the UK's biggest hit will be the Northeast of England and Scotland. Checked out in the Business section.
You are so spot on!
It’s all about stopping the average person from having anything including any joy in life and let’s be honest a lot of us are not even surviving now.
I wish I could get out!! it's getting worse
This is just crazy I have told my daughter sell her house and take her degree with her and leave uk . As this is no place for the boys to endure 😢
I am sorry to say that myself and my family are leaving in January for this very reason. More tax and tax on school fees was the deciding factor. UK is an absolute disaster, and I am no longer willing to pay for everyone else who doesn't work as hard as me
Don't blame me , I voted Reform
Me too.
Good man 👍
So handed the election to labour.
@@sdavis7096 Not really, the majority of the electorate voted for other parties .

Petrol tax affects every single person in the country. Full stop. Fuel costs up affects every single facet of life, not just motorists.
Oil controls everything

You’d be crazy to leave Spain, its much worse in the UK and going downhill fast.
This is how Labour's highest priority - the economy - will grow ?

you will own nothing and you will be happy. There is a reason why he answered Davos when asked a question: Westminster or Davos...

Wef puppet.
People who say good remember government will tax you to make up for any loss 🙄
damn straight they will. On my street in a rural village (well rural now but won't be for much longer) here in Suffolk, every house has been newly purchased and are being remodelled. Every morning though, I just shake my head at the knowledge that they are just remodelling them for the government, because the gov will own them, eventually.
9,800 millionaires leaving- NET, this year, 2nd behind China in wealth leaving. And for people thinking that's nothing, that 9 trillion pounds leaving the UK economy per year..........
BREAKING NEWS : The first dingy of pensioners has arrived in Dover. They are being taken to a 5* Hotel and are waiting for their spending allowances and tea time, and a nice early night...😂😂😂😂😂
Robber Reeves is reportedly upset that they are tax free, and will get free mobility scooters..
Starmer doesn't care he will have a chauffer driven limousine with armed officer protection courtesy of the tax payer for the rest of his days. We peasants can have nothing and be grateful.
Don’t forget we’re now far right scum too!
Well, I don't know how third world migrants will pay for that protection, or IF thtey will.
@@tayachting6345they won’t we will
@@michellejones1618 Not iif a good portion of us money generators are leaving.

There WILL be if this government STOPS paying people to stay at home. If you are able to use your hands and your brain you can work.
u kidding right @@stevenhull5025
They need to get out before Starmer introduces a huge exit the country tax .
Good point. Wilson imposed a limit on what could be taken out of the UK in the 1970's. Thanks for reminding me.
That is the next thing. I beleive Canda has something similar.
to stop the wealth and brain drain Starmer simple introduces a max limit on the amount of money one can take out of the country (like 20 grand). He could also ban increases in the state pension if you live outside the UK.
I am an average hard working person and I am looking to leave the UK.
Weird isn't it? Brits leave UK to go and try and live in a different country and frequently aren't allowed (I tried India). But anyone can come to the UK and claim benefits.
I have never known anything so bad!....To think I have to give these criminals in dinges my hard earned money.!
