I'll be passing on speed, i feel like right now there are so many choices for flexible, strong 3 costs like nocturne, copycat, gladiator, sage, loki and so on and I dont see speed being better than them consistently. If he does end up being better I cant imagine it's going to be by a lot and either way it's definitely the less fun option. Gonna be saving my keys for the next two months
I got 4 keys and I want Jeff and Iron lad, so I'll probably get speed with my first key or a dupe.

@BetarayBillLover people are sleeping on him but he is the single most OP card in Snap currently. All you need is Sunspot Caiera Red Hulk Zola and Wiccan and something at 2 cost maybe Luke Cage as well. And any Archetype and the deck gets crazy.
How about Speed+Mystique and Sage after Sera to attack 3 lanes in the showdown

I think Speed is a perfect example that just showing how bad the monetization this game has.
An average 3/7 stats card which can be played on curve is really not bad, but not good enough to spend resource on it when players’ resources are so precious.
You don't have to get every card. Marvel Boy has already been proven as the best Spotlight card this month. You can't complain about Speed not being good enough while also complaining about the in-game economy and card acquisition system. So you want every new card to be a must-have that makes players agonize over their limited resources? Why can't you just be happy that Speed is an "easy skip"?

Still doubtful on spending on Wiccan and Pixie, Speed seems weaker than both. There are some nice cards coming up in Sep and Oct so may skip August completely or just grab the last one (emperor Hulk or something).
I saving key to get speed series now I have two key,just want ironlad badly,speed ,jellyfish each card is awesome will get my deck strong I sacrificed wiccan😂
Another skip for me. There are plenty of good 3 costs. The variants are fire for sure but I won't be chasing over those with how important resources are these days. The next 2 months are just better imo.
Im spending keys to try to get iron lad, if i get speed too I’ll be fine with it.
Id happily take Jeff and Iron Lad but Speed can get in the bin
I'm not surprised that they put the duo os Jeff and lad with him. Because speed is good he's also very boring. Just the standard stat stick that we get. Saying that I wouldn't be surprised if he gets buffed by one attack with in a month.

He’s pretty mid, he’s basically punisher with like +1 power upside but usually a 3/7. A vanilla 3/7 that has to meet a condition is meh 🫤
If he is decent look out for rogue
The "condition" is that you just play normally. Do you consider floating Energy to be a normal play pattern outside of High Evolutionary?
I agree. It's good, but boring and replaceable.
I used to like speed but it made my land shark shrink
I have to disagree on Wiccan not being flexible. I currently have 7 Wiccan decks with different archetypes. Wiccan Destruction, Cerebro 7, Wiccan Bounce, 3 Wiccan Standard Decks, and Wiccan Thanos Surfer Destruction (this one is crazy). I'm working on a Wiccan discard now think it should work fairly good with Hela.
Well I may have just found Wiccan's home after 10 Wiccan decks created. It's a Wiccan Negative deck it works if you don't get Wiccan. So far it's the most consistent competitive deck I've played.

@Jambooza yeah I have 11 now I guess Pixie is number 12 coming soon. My 11th deck is a Wong Hazmat Lockjaw Wiccan combo deck.

He's better than Gladiator because he doesn't have a game-losing downside like Gladiator has.
What I've learned from Wiccan is that going out of your way to spend all your energy each turn is a roll of the dice not worth the pay off, and kind of a pain in the ass, and between having jeff and Iron lad already, and there being so many very good 3 cost cards, I will personally be skipping speed. Having said that, it's completely great that he's not some phenomenal card, not every card has to be mindblowing, and sometimes 'good' is good enough. Hopefully people enjoy the card. They need to chill on releasing series 5 cards only, every week.

Without kate yet, hopefully next week. Marvel boy, wiccan, and speed all feel a lil less umph. There are good combos without kate but second dinner knocked the synergy theme out of the park with this one
I think, this is the worthiest spotlight cache of the month, besides of Speed, look at those JEFF and IRONLAD VARIANT!
So many better cards coming. Gonna skip on this one. But, I have a feeling they’ll buff him in the near future to +2

Still no Jeff in my collection but I have Iron Lad and don’t like Speed so probably will be skipping this cache…sadly but I can’t afford wasting keys on duplicates or boring cards.

Being f2p, I feel like skipping this despite not having Jeff myself. Will probably just wait for a future Jeff spotlight that includes 1 or 2 other cards that I like. There's just so many great and unique options for 3 cost cards right now that Speed ends up being a meh choice most of the time.
Looking forward to your ratings for the September caches. Madame Web looks really good but being the only cache that has a series 4 card (Silk) the entire month sucks. Maybe they know that she's really good and that people will pull despite the other card being crappy (kinda like the Arishem spotlight).
He isn't a good card in my opinion. casandara can reach that number while facing normal decks without jumping through hoops and without this card restrictions. if he was 2 then i think he would have been better
Hey Docty, are all the Spotlight week cards in the month of September been confirmed?
The thing is this looks like a good fit for a Wiccan deck. However Wiccan's added energy can make it difficult to maximize the value of this card. I have 1 key might take a shot but not as excited about this card like I was Wiccan.
