I got mine pierced at 13 and never had any issues. I made sure everyday that i cleaned it with antiseptic! The biggest thing where most people go wrong and why it gets infected is they are too impatient and change the jewellery when it needs to stay in and not be changed for 6+ months! Personally i don’t see an issue with anyone wanting one it’s just the care it needs you have to be consistent with, and it if goes wrong you can just take it out and it will heal! I got my belly button pierced. I think it wasn't that painful. It Hurt but not much. Its inportant to keep it clean and let it heal a couple months.
