Traditional heat treatment of rubies/sapphires at temperatures up to 1100°C using a blowpipe, e.g. to remove the blue tint from rubies and pink sapphire.... RATNAPURA,SRILANKA
i thought heat treatment is used to intensify colors not reduce or eliminate them? I've seen intense deep blue heated sapphires recently. how was that color achieved?
some people like Natural form while others go for colors & clarity... I am one of those who likes gemstones in their most natural forms and i have a collection as i started this as small business
