I really love the 3 guitar lineup... both Netson & Roth brought a lot versatility to this band & compliment Doug so well. I hope to see that lineup again in the future.
Built to Spill is going on 22 years now of being the most captivating band on the planet. Doug really is just the best thing since sliced bread, or Neil Young. And they have done us diehard fans the huge solid of aging like the finest of wines. I mean, listen to this set...

look at it this way: if u put science to the tempest by saying, 'ok science you say a glass of wine a day is healthy. which is it closest to as far as nutritional value: a glass of rainwater, a glass of grape juice, or a bagel.' and science would say, "oh, a glass of rainwater by far." 'even aged wine?' "yep, even aged wine."
Damn, Slam Dunk opened for this show!? That would have been so awesome to see these two bands in one show. Built To Spill has been my favorite band since the 90's and still is.

southrules they probably played the songs you think are lacking on the next night :) i was very happy with the set i saw them play, but i didn't get to see The First Song or Going against your mind. it's not possible for them to play all their (good) songs in one night

Grew up on Built To Spill in Seattle and still one of my favs. Unique and cant be replaced. A goddamn landmark. :)

i saw them on this tour a week later, in Ithaca. was probably my favorite concert ever. they opened with Traces, followed by Stab i think.
Conventional Wisdom is my fave on this set....fuckin awesome ending!

Surprisingly, the treat of the night for me was Done. A song definitely meant to be experienced live.

Done is great. That repeating guitar line. I only wished they played Aisle 13 once in awhile.
