- Graffiti can be a high risk game, so always make sure your not pushing the limits. In this RAW video a full colour graffiti panel is done with only 5 colours, but still, 5 colours is enough for a nice graffiti train panel.

Helpful hint for the artists out there. I work for a railcar repair facility in the US. As long as your artwork isn't offensive and it doesn't cover any of the stenciling on the railcar....it will stay for a long time. These cars are only required to be shopped once every 10 years for a full requalification. Aside from that they just get basic wear and tear work. So don't cover the stencils and don't make it offensive and your artwork will live on for a while. The companies that own these cars and the companies they are leased to have to pay to have that removed. Trust me when I say that these people are penny pinchers and don't want to pay for anything they don't have to. So keep it classy and don't cover the stenciling

@Blythe Turner stenciling is all the information on the car. Any wording thats on there is important. It says who owns it, what's in it, pressures that csn be applied to it. So any of the letters or numbers or the reflectors. As long as you don't cover that....it will stay for a long while and people all over the country can enjoy your work
I work for the German Railroad and I like good Graffiti on Freight cars. (I really dislike it on Passenger cars). And we have a few local sprayers on our Freight yard that are really good. Sometimes I just watch them if they don't see me and look what they're up to. One them is even a very talented duo that usually make big portraits and beautiful pictures. They even make different portraits of the people working in the Freight yard. One portraits is of one the shunters looking out his loco with a camera taking pictures of the two sprayers. He is a enthusiastic person who really likes the big graffiti portraits himself and always have a camera on his loco to take interesting pictures.

Honestly I love it when trains go by and I get to look at all the beautiful artwork on it. People freak out about vandalism way more than they should, especially considering the people doing it are mostly kids who do it for the thrill. I mean, at least they’re not out doing drugs.
My favorite thing when I drive past trains is to look at the art on the sides. t doesn't look awful, it makes the boring old heaps of transportation look like a library. Hear me out.
Every piece of graffiti, to me, holds a story and a piece of the artist. The bright neon colors and bubbly font isn't easy to learn, what inspired them to comit time to learn? Do they do it for fun? Entertainment? A message?
'Boring/messy' graffiti art by itself is more interesting than the history of trains in my opinion

I love the bubble art style .. for a class project a kid in our class graffiti the side of a dumpster but almost failed because he could not bring it in to class. I really like the fact there are different styles of graffiti like using your arm to make some shapes and what not it truly is an art form

These are some high performance paint cans! The very few times I have tried to tag a wall with a few cans of rustoleum they always run out of air or paint or both halfway thru.

It's good art, but I just don't like that it was done on a passenger car, and especially over windows. For those of you who may not understand why I feel this way, I think the best explanation would be in terms of cars. Just like boxcars, I wouldn't mind graffiti on an 18 wheeler trailer. The trailers are meant for transportation of goods, and appearance doesn't really matter. What he did is comparable to graffiting a taxi. Taxi's, like passenger cars, are used for transporting people, and are held to a higher standard. They are expected to look presentable to the customer, and art like this can tarnish the company's reputation

Most of the trains have anti graffiti paintjob in Hungary. So with somw water and a sponge the graffitis come off easily.
