I could see Viktor stepping in as a bit of a mentor for Powder. They're both undercity misfits with a knack for tinkering. I can't speak for Viktor's parenting skills, but he's definitely the responsible type.
I would say, he’d have at least a small idea on how to deal with kids, as he’s been around Jayce for a while, and I feel like at least some skills from that would carry over to dealing with children. Since Jayce is smart, but he rarely thinks ahead, instead just thinking about the instant outcome of things, and rushes into things, a lot like most kids do
Let's just hope in a timeline like this, Viktor doesn't get caught up in his work. He's ambitious because of his origins, maybe having powder would keep him at bay

Also, Victor worked with Jayce, a man who was as idealistic as one could get in the beginning and we know how their work turnen out. The contrast between vicktor trying to find a use to what is deemed useless and powder being tunnel visioned on what it's supposed to do as opposed to it's potential is so perfect I'm surprised the writers of the show themselves didn't make this as a side project
As someone going into Engineering, pretty much the first thing that any tinker wants to do is make a real big boom. Viktor is just watching a baby's first steps. These two would make Mythbusters a thing.

wanna know something oddly tariffing about this this probably happened in one of his alts. our arcane wasn't his first rodeo nor do i think jayce was his first and if first only. jayce was just the most consistent and the best choice to bring him back from the breach but in actuality he probably tried almost everyone. i do think he missed echo as it was exsperience that made echo into what he is, but im defiantly sure he didnt miss poweder. there is probably a few timelines where powder makes hextech and ends up like jayce
@@bobisuncanny2760 possible possible not. hextech as a source is fine. its when its misused be it unintentionally or not that's the problem as your messing with pure ruinic/world magic. this alt intentionally made it thou only technically. the difference here thou is that powder ant saying shit about what she just did. nor is she going to use it for herself or sell it. so nobody else will know thus this alts impacts are marginal at best. even if she decides to also jump for some reason. the damage will not be to large as only she knows and with her gone so is the craft with that being said shes out of the running but thats not the problem with hextech. its creation is a nexus event. its destined to happen one way or another. so i dont think their technicality counts. meaning one day someone else will figure it out all hextech is at the end of the day is sub art of ruin carving. which is an extremely common practice in ruintara. its just ruin sculpting on this specific form of meterial is not. meaning all it needs is some rando ruincrafter to decide to carve a ruin on a power gem and boom hextech. well that is as long as that act didnt explode in their face of course and kill its inventor. hell the danger is probably why it took so long to form in these timelines. i would not be surprised there are other alts that got hexteck exstreamly early do to its simplicity. the higher level hextech that created victor no (they will have to build the tech up to that point even if they fuck up with its saftys), but the basic stuff jayce started with. hell ya.
The real good ending of Arcane would have been Viktor, Powder, Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger all hanging out in a lab/workshop together and inventing their way out of all of Piltover and Zaun's problems
I feel like Viktor would have treated her the way Singed did, because if you remember that Singed never treated Viktor poorly and Vik would have seen his younger self in her. He also would have left Powder her own journal with detailed but simplified notes on what he changed, improved, and how to make it better.
Or prosper beyond Jayce innovation. Viktor focused on helping people, if Powder pick up that idea, she most likely will become the one who save both side with technologies.
Well hopefully we'll be back for round 2 sometime soon. I loved voicing Viktor and the crew has been very welcoming so far! Hopefully they'll ask me to reprise the role :D
This really makes me think about what would have happened in an AU where Powder had run off and ran to Viktor instead of to Silco. I honestly think Jayce would have been pissed, but Viktor would have calmed him down, and they would have both older brothered her. She would have grown up much healthier, as probably one of the smartest minds Piltover had seen, and be tunnel vision, "I WILL save him," when she learned about Viktor's condition. I think she has some unhealthy habits and some nuerodivergant tendencies regardless, but the bromance would be much better father figures for her mental health.

Update: I just found out that apparently Ekko and Jayce actually met before. Look back at Ekko’s story he was telling Claggor, he was talking about Jayce!!! Maybe somebody can write a comic for this!

In the Good Timeline this probably happened which makes it sadder, then you think about it. Viktor would most likely die in this timeline. Meaning Jinx looses another Family/Friend.

The only thing she actually needed to get it to work was a spring loaded timer, the spring gives both kinetic energy and would have made the smoke or nails go further than just falling out of it, either way I still love her bombs especially how she gives a story to each one

If for whatever reason Riot's Arcaneverse or whatever it'll be called expands to the point they make a "What If" mini series, this DEFIINITEY has to be an episode. Or at least part of the alternate timeline, where they do get arrested for breaking into Jayce's home, and it leads to Powder and Viktor meeting. All dominoing to the point where Ekko enters the timeline. Her succeeding but hesitating to move to Piltover and study under Viktor, returning to learn under Viktor with Ekko, and Viktor's eventual death without Hextech becoming something that drives Powder even more. Things like that.
This would've been really cool if Viktor had seen these little grenades before because then he'd know that the little girl he met was jinx when he was trying to disable one of jinxes grenades.
I think I read a fanfiction on ao3 a couple of years ago that was basically this! Jayce and Viktor knew each other earlier in life, and Viktor was in the apartment when the kids broke in. He made them sandwiches 💖 It was so cute!
I want to imagine that this AU take places in the “Good Timeline” from Season 2, Episode 7: Seeing that they’re in the place we’re Viktor tried to off himself. We can assume that Powder blamed herself for Vi’s death and believing she had nothing else to live for went there to contemplate suicide, only to find Viktor as well unknown to her also contemplating suicide. Probably because in this timeline Jayce choose to travel the world to try to chase a different dream, after being kick out of the Science Academy after his little project lead to Vi’s death. Leaving Viktor to believe he too had nothing to live for until he found a kindred spirit in Powder. Perhaps after S2,E7, Powder reconnected with Viktor to work on Hextech, perhaps also bringing Jayce back for the ride, leading to events akin to the original timeline but way more “manageable.” Perhaps with a less bittersweet ending from the main timeline. At least that’s MY take. 😉

Imagine an AU where Powder was adopted by Viktor and Jayce and became an engineering icon
I want to imagine that this AU take places in the “Good Timeline” from Season 2, Episode 7:
Seeing that they’re in the place we’re Viktor tried to off himself. We can assume that Powder blamed herself for Vi’s death and believing she had nothing else to live for went there to contemplate suicide, only to find Viktor as well unknown to her also contemplating suicide. Probably because in this timeline Jayce choose to travel the world to try to chase a different dream, after being kick out of the Science Academy after his little project lead to Vi’s death. Leaving Viktor to believe he too had nothing to live for until he found a kindred spirit in Powder. Perhaps after S2,E7, Powder reconnected with Viktor to work on Hextech, perhaps also bringing Jayce back for the ride, leading to events akin to the original timeline but way more “manageable.” Perhaps with a less bittersweet ending from the main timeline.
