I feel like I learned a great deal from fishing this tournament with you. Without the knowledge of knowing what we were looking at on a graph, figuring out the lily pad/hydrilla/eel grass combo, and your knowledge on ditches, we held our own. Great breakdown, good job in the tournament, and cheers to next season
It was a great time down on the Harris Chain. I wasn't sure how the ditch pattern would pan out but it held up pretty solid giving us two pretty good sacks of fish both days. I learned a great deal on bladed jigs in those 7 days. Had a tackle box full of them but little faith. Now my bladed jig confidence is through the roof! The most important factor with any bait or pattern is confidence.
I am truly thankful for your support! I'm shooting for a couple top 10 finishes this season in the bfls and hopefully I can get some hardware for the shelf!
Your Welcome and thank you, it's great to hear that others are finding this information helpful! I didn't fish eustis when I was down there but that's the next lake on my list to do a video on the ditches. It will be recommendations from what I see on the countout map so can't guarantee they will be good areas. The main purpose is to show others what to look for on the contour maps so they can locate high percentage areas faster.
Thank You. That's great to hear it was helpful. It's been getting a lot of views in such a short period of time. I just uploaded a video about fishing ditches on Lake Dora today. Go check it out if you fish on Dora.
I guess iam confused or just stupid but i still dnt know what iam looking at as far as a ditch on a contour map is it a defined marking i see your red lines but still cant tell please help going to harris next week and week after is my tournment thanks

Buddy. Your just talking to hear yourself talk. So obvious. You fish those areas in a tournament? You will be boat 97. In line to fish. Everyone and there brothers know about long Island. Points. 6lbs. On harris ? You all lost. 10lb all day long. I live on the Harris chain. If you want fish ? Hanes creek. Openings. Fish the ele grass on griffin. Emerald marsh! Find shelll beds. Kissimmee grass. Means. Hard pack bottom.
Thanks Bud for the input 👍. We did fish these areas in a tournament the 2023 Bassmaster Team Championship and actually got 28th out of 248 Teams "from these areas." "That's a $1k Cheque" 😏 We was boat 38 on day one and was the 1st boat on long Island. Actually it wasn't that full in there. Only about 20-40 boats came through on day 1 and only 2 fished the ditch by the point south of the island. Most of them all stayed out on the flat. Day two only seen 10-15 The south side of that island had very little boats on it 10-15 and nobody stayed on it very long either and very few hit that ditch in the west. Day 2 only 5-10. As for the area north of hickory point there was 1 other boat on it over two days we caught a 6-10 there and 5 more keepers day 2. We had over 13lbs day 1 and just over 10lbs day 2. Actually very possible to pull 13-17lb limits consistently. Also a lot of bass there perfect for guys looking to get out fishing. In that some time we was down there it was taking 12-14 for 2nd place in local tournaments. This video is about Harris not Griffin. You take care and glad I could teach you a few things 👍
