If you asking about the molars the buccal and the lingual surfaces are more broad mesiodistally as compared to mesial and distal surfaces. Now how to differentiate buccal from lingual surfaces? The buccal surfaces are more convex as compared to lingual surfaces. You need a lot of practice and need a theoretical knowledge to identify them correctly. Don't hesitate to ask more questions if you have and follow us.
