Boss: Hydrogen Orca (Cryogen Orcanus) Description: A former oceanic guardian and commander of the largest naval force during the Maverick Wars. He was ordered to fire on his own men after his superiors had become mavericks, and has since lost his entire fleet. Because of this devastating loss, he has sworn vengeance on all who cross his path. He sides with no one, much less the Repliforce. His known enemies are Hurricane Albatross and Overheat Firefox. Attacks: Hydrogen Spray (An icy version of Fire Wave), Body Strike, Cold Fusion Laser (Based on Ryu's Shinku-Hadouken from Marvel vs. Capcom) Weakness: Flame Bazooka (X)/Overheat Strike (Zero) Location: Cold Fusion Laboratory Weapon: Hydrogen Spray (Fires a spread shot of ice particles in three directions. Charging the attack concentrates all three shots into a wave blast, freezing bigger enemies.) Zero Technique: Fission Dash (Similar to Hisuishou, Zero charges at his enemies with an icy attack, replacing his normal air dash.)

The Mavericks were actually designed in the style of kaijin, the sort of monsters fought in tokusatsu shows.

Indeed so. Toku influences are rampant throughout the series. Even later villains resemble the human-type villains from Sentai.
I guess X would need a giant mecha armor. 😕

TBONE2004 Those are some very interesting details, though I think the ocean part would fit better with the stage 3 theme.
