So Awesome that her great great grandparents house is Still there..I Love where you live, so Many historical places..Love It!..You are a true professional for such a young man..Excellent Job!
Too all these people asking if that was a rifle 32 seconds in. Yes it was and i don't blame him for bringing it along, You're in the middle of the woods with well over a grand worth of gear, you never know what might happen! Better safe than sorry.
They come from old growth trees, not farm trees. There is very little old growth trees left and are usually highly sought after because the wood is denser, which is why very old houses typically last longer than homes built from farm trees. If you buy old growth lumber from a mill, you will pay far more for it than if you buy lumber produced from farm grown trees. Its just better lumber.
That site sure looks promising, NN. Funny how a place can look really good yet give out so little while a crummy site can sometimes give great finds. Part of the fun, though. Congrats on your finds.
CLOSETS.. HAVE LOTS OF MONEY, IF YOU WOULD LEARN MORE.. YOU FOUND A FORTUNE TRULY.. JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT.. KEEP IT UP YOU WILL LEARN.. HAPPY HUNTING. TY FOR SHARING, ITS SO NICE TO SEE YOUNG PPL WHO HAVE GREAT INTERESTS..
Just remember, when you post vids you will get negative comments. Keep doing what you are doing. You are posting good vids. You will learn along the way. Many of us like what you are posting so keep going! Love your finds! When you are around an old home site, look for a tree that is old. Men didn't want their family or wife to know what they had so they would go away from their house to bury their money. They used markers to remember where it was. Like 20 feet from the stone. Inter city used their walls to hide their money.People didn't use banks because they didn't exist or they did not trust them. Happy hunting!
Another interesting video Nugget . That had to be a pretty nice old house a few years ago . Good luck on your next outing be sure to get lots of great shots to share with us . HH :-)
Even if they are not metal those blue mason jars have value. People pay for them for collections, making light fixtures, etc. I have a collection of them.
You are a super neat kid, and I love watching your vids, so that's why the mom in me is going to say this... Be more careful when going into old buildings!! You just might find a weak floor someday. You were scaring the carp out of me!!!
At 6:03 I believe I see something gold waving in the water about 2/3 to the right and up. You touched it thrashing your hand around then it disappears. It looked to me like a dangle earing or piece of gold chain.
I wonder whats behind those walls, under the front entry and floorboards and property.Clean that baby out and go to town. Happy hunting to Holly and you. Can't wait for the follow up vid.
Great video. There are some places up here in northern ny that have potential but the land is off limits or people just don't like strangers on their land.
ive been watchin for bout 2 years, yur a good man....u were close to me when u hunted ol reedy creek park home site in charlotte nc. i stay in minthill just few miles away...that hunt sucked for u and for that am sorry, u put in good work....anyway i wanted to tell u if u need somthin bud like place to crash or just stop in and ill help feed at least. i was a surface hunter arrowheads such...till i got itch. wtg with holly to treat her right and u just might have the best find ever...yur fellow tresure hunter chris love
Hay was not put in the old house because they wanted to burn it down. They needed a dry place for the hay and no one was living in the house. Country people make use of what they have. They don't tear down the old building that was built to last a long time. They take the old building and use it for something else. We need to learn from them. We have become a throw away society. Not good.
Nuggets got a girl friend... Nuggets got a girl friend!!!! I'm kinda wondering about those old cars at that other house. Bet you will find some silver. Bryan
I think youu will find that someone was keeping horses near the old house. Hay has to be kept dry or it will catch fire from spontaneous combustiiion that is why when you are driving past farms you see hay stacks covered by tarps.
As an after thought, why is it necessary for some to show disrespect to both Nugget and Holly by making risque comments?? No regard for thier feelings?? Ohh yeah, you dont care. Nugget, you should remove those comments ASAP so Holly doesnt have to see them.
HAY, what're you doin' in that old house? lol. Bet you and Holly had some fun in the hay, huh. Next time maybe linger a spell on what old cars you come across....thanks!
Last time I seen a cabine like that here in indiana, Guy was selling two family houses, one in front of the property was build in the 1920s and the other is a family cabine was put up when his family came to indiana as settlers. He said he could not hold onto the property anymore and had to sell it, that is real sad. the home i live in now, bought from an old lady belonged to her family when they first hired builders for this and the house next door nearly two centuries ago, none of her family was interested in owning either, sad.
Pretty cool. But,meeting people on instagram, you're luck Holly wasn't a "Howard", and that you didn't spend the next couple months of your life putting the lotion in the bucket. LOL
So Awesome that her great great grandparents house is Still there..I Love where you live, so Many historical places..Love It!..You are a true professional for such a young man..Excellent Job!
I love the old timbers in the making of the home. Under the house they looked like unfinished logs in the foundation! Great job.
Really great video. It's cool to think your great great grandchildren could come to your homestead and look up your past. Love your videos.
I love the country, old houses, and digging relics.
Too all these people asking if that was a rifle 32 seconds in. Yes it was and i don't blame him for bringing it along, You're in the middle of the woods with well over a grand worth of gear, you never know what might happen! Better safe than sorry.
Nurse_Neurotic agree
I imagine it was a small log cabin and they expanded as the family grew.. What a nice old place!
Very nice of her for the invite and you helping her with the detector:)
Sounded like a nice first date! Kidding Nugget, good luck tomorrow!
Lumber that house is made from very likely came from old growth trees. If they can be salvaged, they can fetch a pretty penny.
Interesting! What makes them special?
They come from old growth trees, not farm trees. Around the older homes you should be able to find a rubble pit. Where broken items and trash would be thrown.

I'm subscribing, which I don't do often! Go Nugget!
I have a Bounty Hunter Challenger from Christmas and its actually a great detector.
Jeez! You're braver than me! I'm imagining snakes/rats/spiders...
go outside and look for the outhouse. ..lots of stuff on the trail going to it from the house. ..find the trail! and listen up good!
So cool
Nugget where do you get your old maps of old places that don't exist anymore to detect? What's a good sluice box to buy fit for a beginner?
This is straight up what I dream of nugget, LOL. I just don't understand why the hell there's a ton of hay in there lol.
Believe it or not that blue mason jar you passed up is worth quite a bit of money. Mason just issued reproductions for their anniversary this year.

Someone should fix that place up. it looks like it could be nice and if the land its on borders the stream directly, it could be worth quite a bit.
