- A young girl works as the new cook on a remote Texas ranch. She likes the job, but the ranch hands bully her every chance they get. One afternoon, she is gripped by the elbow and shoved into a pen with a huge, pitch-black stallion. The animal’s eyes are full of fire, and he snorts like an erupting volcano. His name is Diablo, and he is terrifying like the devil itself. But she stands her ground. And then the horse reacts in a shocking way. What unfolds from there is almost too amazing to believe.
