Respect to MMFJ. Out of all the videos I have seen and compilations on this channel he’s the first that shows he fully understands how lane splitting works and how dangerous it can be. Also when a driver pulls out he knows it’s because it’s difficult to see him while lane splitting and doesn’t go around smashing mirrors or screaming at every driver. He just keeps riding. Props man!

Any experienced driver would have prepared for that driver doing that U-turn. She didn't make the rider do anything. A good rider could have easily stopped and not dropped the bike.

Its more he can't safely ride away due to a unsafe load. Seriously, a piece of paper coming from his backpack and the next thing you know the idiot behind whos scared of paper is now crashed into a building. So, while I would of (I am a cyclist so its a lot easier for me) just walked to the edge he was quite stuck because, 500 pound bike.
He was overall pretty smart by remaining calm and nice to the guy, I am very much the same way till it gets worse (ie I'll fight if I must) so... Handled it pretty well, car behind should of gone around him either way as he was securing his load.

Not illegal in all states/countries like previously mentioned. However, a rider should always do it in a safe manor to allow for situations like that to keep themselves and others safe. Im not current with all laws regarding lane splitting, but I would assume that you're not suppose to continue lane splitting continuously like most bikers do.
