No state "belongs" to anybody. Not saying that Nato or the US is a 100 percent right. But the way the Taliban has handled the state in unimaginably wrong. Perhaps that would explain why even Afghans preferred the Nato rule, over the Taliban monopoly. The lack of democracy does that for you.
