Hey Steve! My dad served in Korea during the war and we had a great time watching this! His friends in other units coveted their 5-man ration boxes similar to what you had in another video. Hopefully they are not illegal by then. Fuck it, even if they are, I'll just buy it illegally, legality never stopped me from buying weed, lol.
Autumn 1974 my USMC platoon was on an overnight field maneuver at Quantico. Evening chow was 1953 dated cans. The food items ( ham & lima beans, beef stew, date nut cake, etc.) were still edible. The company 1st Sgt. scooped up all the cigarettes as the accessory pack cans were opened. The newbies like me were not amused.

Hopefully they are not illegal by then. Fuck it, even if they are, I'll just buy it illegally, legality never stopped me from buying weed, lol.
A true smoker
Watching Steve smoke is like art. Makes me want to go back and take a clean drag in the coldness of winter. Fuck
I bet no one around you misses it
I feel like if your addicted to cigs, whenever you get the urge to smoke, go smoke a joint instead and see if it takes the edge away?
Google Is Fucking SJW Scum lol
Autumn 1974 my USMC platoon was on an overnight field maneuver at Quantico. Evening chow was 1953 dated cans.
The food items ( ham & lima beans, beef stew, date nut cake, etc.) were still edible. The company 1st Sgt. scooped up all
the cigarettes as the accessory pack cans were opened. The newbies like me were not amused.
Yes you can still get Chesterfields, not sure they're as good as the 1951 blend.
I smoke Chester field they always have a smooth smoke I tried over cigs and they make me cough but with Chesterfield cigs I never cough
They have a lot of nicotine compared to most cigarettes, even in 2016
As I understand, the companh was sold to another manufacturer. I doubt you can find any true Chesterfields anymore. I would try one if I could.
i smoke chesterfield, sometimes their mint flavored even, the only brand that i can smoke
Steve I am new to your channel and I just love how you do things and your passion for these old rations and the men who used them!
Back when cigarettes were more like little cigars with good quality tobacco in them compared to the crap they put in modern cigarettes.
Michael Maness roll your own dude
Michael Maness smoke spirits
Chesterfield cigarettes is currently owned and manufactured by Altria. The brand was named after Chesterfield County, Virginia. They manufacture the cigarettes in Henrico County, VA. Aged fine like wine!
Scott Mendez I remember Picayune cigs. made in LA,
As a kid in 1957,my buddies and I would vie to see who got the "C" rats from the surplus store with "ciggies" in them. UK Vietnam era rations had English oval style cigs in them.
Oval?
@@johnw1954 Some higher end unfiltered cigarettes had a flatter "oval shape". I don't think they're made any more. Philip Morris English Ovals were the most popular in the US until they were discontinued 7 years ago.
Back in the 1950's, grocery stores usually had sample packs with 4 cigarettes of most brands that were given away free.
Now that he smoked one, he might as well finish the rest of the pack.
Let's lay these boys on to the tray, NICE
Rewatching older Steve reviews. This one is solid gold!
We always come back… 3rd go around with this one 😎✌️
And now Steve is now back smoking 3packs of cigarettes a day!
I dont think he does. Or was that a joke?🤔
Oh man, we can thank MRE’s for getting him back in the game lol
Problem is if you haven't had a cigarette in quite sometime, that 1st one always tastes like gold, even the generic brand.
OMG! What??? You smoked a cigarette before "Let's get this out on a tray"......isn't that like sacrilege? hehehehe. Love your videos Steve! Never disappointed when I stop by!
is that a 65 year old blunt cause u would think so the way he chats
+Greg Bremner and by the way he holds it when he hits it haha
+Greg Bremner looks like one helluva nicotine kick
+the Driza how would you know? did you smoke a 65 year old chesterfield?
what? i was only specifically asking the driza how he knows that he is exagerating the smoke of the cigg, not how he talks in general.
I believe roaches were often stuck in the end of a Chesterfield - a lil Panama Red ting goin on......
oh wow im already feeling that...that's a hard hitter😂😂😂😂
Middle of the night camping with my girlfriend and she's smoking the cigarette she's saved for about a year, I can only think of Mr. "only smoke ration cigs" himself lol
"recovering smoker gets hooked again on film" should be this title
" it's making my Palms sweat, nice" phrases like that he should make them into a NFT. Nice
Read your comment right as he said it. Love it when that happens.
This video is so satisfying to watch lol. Seen it multiple times now. Love the channel, keep up the great work
“It’s makin my palms sweat.....nice” lmao

7:10 when you stare at the blunt after you light it
These are my favorites!
My dad told me stories about opening these when he was in the Marines!
"Chesterfield cigarettes" I've always wanted to see what he was talking about.
Awesome, thank you !
Take a few of those cigarettes to a cigar lounge and record their opinions!
+Steve1989 MREinfo Yes do it man!
hahaha ah man i feel ya...
Hey after all the solid videos you put out you deserve a couple of antique darts!!
Cheers bud!
+Steve1989 MREinfo
Hey man, hope you didn't fall back into it. I liked this video, but I know how hard it can be being addicted to something. Stay straight!
great idea
Mom: what are you doing
Me: watching a man smoke a 65 year old ciggaret and getting high also he is eating some gum
Mom: son give me your phone
getting high of a cig? you need urgent assistance
Sam Jones I get what he meant. A very strong unfiltered cigarette especially to a non smoker does in essence briefly give you a high. You’re light headed, you sweat, your heart rate goes up, and you feel pretty out of it.
You dont get high, its a head buzz..you clearly have never smoked.
+The Joy Of Painting
Why don't you shut up
Absolutely love the talking and joking in this one lol, cant believe this is the first time ive been suggested it
