I’m curious Jo, for your own origami models that you design, do you visualise how to make the models and is it a lot of trial and error? How do you come up with such amazing pieces of art?
I like to imagine he's just fiddling with a pice of randomly shaped paper and being like "Wait a minute, this looks vaguely like a icosahedron." Why? Because its funny
WOW Jo Nakashima you are incredible at origami like Henry Pham, Jayson Merrill, Ken hmoob, and any origami masters. But by the way great job designing this!! Big congrats
I made one for the first time!!! This is so cool! It got a little difficult connecting the pieces at the end, and I think b/c of all the fiddling I had to do (I got frustrated and had to take half of it apart and start over again the next day), when the last piece went in, it was not so solidly in there as I would like, like as it appears in the video. I did squash fold connection for the entire thing, except for the very last unit in which I had to give in and make a simplified tab. Thanks so much for creating this and sharing it! I'll share a photo of my attempt later. I want to do more origami next year!
Always an amazing work! I am very curious about the tool that you used to cut those creases. Where can I buy one like it? I googled it but don’t know how to call it.
Brilliantly executed & awesome model! Thank you for explaining....mine just kept opening so I threw it but my 2nd try looked beautiful. Best model in my bottom shelf!
Origami Pros: Yes I have to make this it looks really cool! It might be a little tricky but it'll definetly be worth it! It'll look so cool! I have to make it! Me: What's a Icosahedron?
@@tished Polyhedra are polygons taken to the third dimension. Polygons are shapes with various sides. When polygons are regular it means the sides and vertices are equal. In the case of polyhedra, they're regular when the faces and the vertices are the same, meaning that in all the vertices meet an equal amount of faces. In the case of the icosahedron, 5 faces meet
@@tished There's only five regular polyhedra, the tetrahedron (4 triangular faces), the cube (6 square faces), the octahedron (8 triangular faces), the dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces), and the icosahedron (20 triangular faces)
The units for the Tetrahedron, Octahedron and Icosahedron are the same. You can skip to the assembly part if you already know how to make them
Is perfect the assembly thaks
40 likes and 2 replies for a great origamist with more than a million subs, weird.
