Love that first track, prob one of my favs, a good 12-13min long segment with some challenging switch backs and roots to tackle. Brilliant warm up track!
@@bestdayevermtb2 I’ve never done cutties, will add that to the list! I’ll try and get out for a ride with you guys at some stage, looks like a lot of fun

Lance, it's time to revisit skyline!! You know that gap jump (not the gap drop) that you guys all ended up doing?? They've built another one next to it that's about 2 metres longer. U can do it just by pedaling from the top down into it. Very nice! Also it's time to clear Mr Black gap!! Cheers, Alwyn.
@@bestdayevermtb2 skyline is awesome now! Went down last week. Tracks are sooo much better than your last posted skyline vid. If you guys want someone to trail you in then I'm keen to tag along. All the features are easily doable! Cheers
It’s encouraging to see your skill level and speed would match mine. My 14 yo takes off and leaves me for dust…Trials in Tassie are also very wet and cold at present. Quite a few closed.
Those trails looked slippery, good to see all the lads on ebikes shredding it up. Hopefully you sort the drone out and hope Steve has made a full recovery. Epic video though, will hopefully see you guys down here next time 👍👍
Have fixed skydio. It is cool but I don't think is capable of tracking in the trees. We did use it yesterday though. You can manually fly it between two points called a cable then fly it safely between these two point . You can also get it to hover but follow the rider with the camera. Pretty cool. I think Dad's Army are funny. Some of the guys will hit up huge jumps but go over some tree roots no chance.
Re: drone - check the settings for camera white balance, it may have decided the conditions looked like night and changed to suit that. I would guess you could set it to a specific colour temperature, rather than auto.
huge straight line before everyone had stopped with a clear line of sight, i dont understand how poor old Steve missed the stoppage but good to stop off the track completely.
I think Steve saw everyone but tried to show off a bit and hit the jump but pulled sideways and got off line. Interesting reading people's opinions on it though.
That drone is a great bit of footage. I understand the 2 heavyweights getting less battery but how were they slower down the hill. I thought weight and gravity would have made you faster. Great video, as to the crash You stopped first you carry the blame. The length of this was not an issue
Weight and skill are not the same. As for stopping on a track. Are you suggesting you should never stop until you reach the very end of the track?. If so that is the end of these videos. How do we film the track if nobody can stop. As long as you stop in a visible spot and keep the track clear then I see no issue. Anyone who has ever ridden a mtb has done this. This part of the track was at a track crossing so you should have been watching for other riders anyway.
@@bestdayevermtb2 good to hear looks like a great bit of kit often though of getting one my self but too many regulations for me Looking forward to seeing more of your footage
Im guessing that this is simply the video cable being slightly unseated. Open up the drone, disconnect then reconnect the cable. And regards the stopping mid-trail, mate you were totally parked off the track, so all good.
Quietly I agree with you. I think he thought he could jump straight through but got sideways and clipped the wheel. Good news is he is fine and coming on our Queenstown trip next week.
Fantastic episode Lance, filming mountain bikers in their natural habitat. Drone footage looks great. Good to see the curse continues !
Thanks Phil. Glad you liked the video.
Even ebike no match for Tuhoto's wet roots. Stopping on landing of a jump is just asking for trouble.
Great video
I think the wet roots was actually quite fun.

Sorry to hear you had a fall. Thumbs can be a really pain. I have broken mine before.
Lance, your videos make my Saturday mornings here in the UK. Sat in bed with a cup of tea laughing at the Dad’s army loons. Brilliant again, thanks.

The guys often talk of doing a trip to Tassie one day. Is it easy to hire e bikes there. Good ones? Can you hire batteries there?
Your ride looks so much fun! When will you host a TH-cam gathering/meet up/ride? Would love to hit Woodhills or Riverhead with you guys!
Steve -Eyes up buddy
I think I am in agreement with you on this one.
Looking like a great day out. I live in Westport so a bit damp on here at the moment. Looking forward to the summer for some great riding

Have sorted drone. Just a white balance issue luckily.
Steveo should've slowed down and avoided that. It wasn't like you stopped on a blind corner or over the crest of a hill.
Great video you are quite the comedian, really nice to get back to group riding, and now you've all got electrovid19.

Steve 100%. You need to be able to ride around stuff and there was plenty of space on the track to get through.
