you are so professional... as a DIYer all i can do is admire the work. anyways, thanks for the video: it's good for my brain to watch you work. and it's good to hear you explain things so well in your usual candor.
So nice of you
TY
You know you're interesting to watch work when the Dogs are standing on each other to see you. 😁
Yes I think that's what was happening most of the time
Only the latest and greatest from Odell Complete Concrete! 👌🏼

Great tip about the brace. Every time I’ve hurt my back it’s been in the morning.
Glad it helped!
Looks great David. Your projects are looking as good as Tim's! Just messing with you, but Tim's projects are looking real good lately!
Glad you like them!
Looks so nice!

Damn, I knew I recognized the area as bullhead city. I don’t know you guys were working out here. I have a vacation home out here. I had some concrete work done a couple years back. I don’t know if you guys work here but now that I do I have friends out here too.
Great

homeowner lucky widening on both sides nice
Wit until you see the new wrought iron gates and wider opening
It’s always great to see Big Blue in action. David, that looked like a 100% nylon broom, where’s the 50% nylon 50% horsehair gone? 👍🏻
YOUR RIGHT AND VERY OBSERVANT. It's not easy finding the magical broom
Ahh the old shoveling work, the job that separates the men from the boys.
I've had some new guys try and reinvent the shovel to make it easier, but it always a fail.
Nothing better than a 6" hickory extend a hoe
Nice work always

In regards to the dowels, after drilling for them do you add any jb weld or any adhesive so the dowels won’t come loose?
These particular ones were drill. 3/8" drill bit, 3/8" rebar, a very tight fit slammed in with a 6lb sledge.
Damn u start working at 5:15am
yes, we start at the break of daylight.
I may have missed, but did you have to pitch it or is it using weep holes for water drainage?
Sloped towards wall and then drains through weep holes
Instead of drilling in the dowels would it not be better to excavate under the existing concrete to create a uniform keyway connecting the two? Have you ever seen it where the rebar dowels will pop through the surface of an existing slab?
In some cases I do it that way, depending on concrete condition
Nice that you are able to make construction noise that early in the morning. Did you have to pull an extra permit for 5am? Our Noise Ordinance is 0700 to 2100.
This is Arizona where it still makes sense to start work at day light, and sleep at dark time, in turn saving power consumption and the climate change.
I would have laid felt paper on the edges (at least) to prevent splash and overrun onto the finished slab
Wrong answer
lol 5 am? You would be shut down so fast in my state
Sun up to sun down makes sense.
They let you in AZ because of heat for safety. What state and time is yours 7am?
yo dave, is expansion foam a must when pouring up against the house?
When it's bound in, yes
👍👍

Give me a good contact for a stucco guy here near HB.
I sure will, with some more info
@@OdellCompleteConcrete what type of more info? Looking to get home sandblasted and re stucco. It’s been painted once over the original color coat and doesn’t have consistent finish either. Some patching to be done and I’m sure more with blasting. Maybe not. Have a sandblasting company already in mind to use with a good price and also does wood. My eaves are horrible. Thinking they painted over oil base. Home was built in 64’. Seems stucco guys are not good at returning calls.
Dogs are strange guys lol
yes, they are and thought they were very interesting, as I hadn't seen it before
what kind of expansion foam are you using? Used some big store quikrete or sakrete foam and checked back on some work from 3-4 years ago and it has completely disintegrated? what should i do, just seal it with a rubber sealant at that point?
depends on your climate and situation, For me not worried about sealing with 4"s rain a year.
If it does disintegrate that's great for drainage, out the weep holes.
I always enjoy your videos! Great job on this one!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Nice 👍
Second 👍
Good job

Hello. Do you guys work in LA county? If so, do you give free estimates? Looking to build a wall to run the entire lenght of my property.
Yes
5am is it too early noise restriction?
Not in AZ
If there's daylight, go to work and sleep at night, Save the overconsumption, production of energy
@@OdellCompleteConcreteoh ok yea AZ gets hot I heard.
regardless of heat, it's all better to use renewable natural resources first
Question, my contractor did not seal my driveway. Its been 7 days is it too late to add cure and seal?
Depends how you have been treating it since the pour?
@@OdellCompleteConcreteflooding with water twice a day
You should be fine. If you’ve been parking on it, prior to applying sealer go over it with a good degreaser to remove any oils that might be on the concrete.

And some guys learn not to splatter concrete on the wall but do it anyway because they just don't give a...
I think your absolutely right, and they will never succeed until they change, their ways.
Reservoir?
What’d you charge for this? Around $6500?
I wish, I just do them for the content
@@OdellCompleteConcrete ain’t no way!
You better believe it. Videos pay more than doing the estimated price every time.
please tell me how much such a job costs, I will be very grateful.@@OdellCompleteConcrete

12:24 did someone throw a trowel? 😂😂
Lol looks like cutter fell off wall 😄
Yes it did
I would think that the homeowner would not need concrete on the side with the wall
Then they could plant a raw of palm trees spaced 2-3 feet apart, so that the RV gets some shade from the sun.
UV damage on RV really impacts resale value - ask me how I know
RV covers work better or possibly a future awning.
The gate is getting widened in a future video.
Wondering why you used a pumper? Could you have not gotten the truck right in there? Or do you worry about the weight of the truck?
Weight and mess
thought he was shirtless with a back tattoo haha
No but that's a good idea
