    the amazing capabilities of the squid aside, i think these audio demos are phenomenal. Love the outro jam with the sine-ish lead

    Thank You, the image is amazingly clear. The skiff is compact. The explanations are more detailed. Still need to see more of the entire set-up to think through how and what the Squid is impacting. This is a big improvement over the previous deep dives. I love my Squid.

    the fact that with Axon the Squid has *7 assignable CV inputs* is mind-blowing

    Thank you for this.
    At about 5:00 you start to use channel 5 of pam's but the green LED doesn't light. I don't know why this concerns me.

      The channel's output level is set extremely low.

    I like the little case used during the stereo operation part. Is it available?

    Cherry on the cake for the drum synthesis would've been to use the 6 7 and 8 output as envelopes with physical knobs, because I don't have 2 quaid slopes in my case (yet). Then with just pams and the squid you have a 3 channel drum machine.

    Hi Guys, is it possible to calibrate the squid without an oscilloscope and multimeter? in general, a tutorial on calibration would be nice

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just need something that will monitor and display a DC voltage (no scope needed). Its pretty simple and rarely needs doing (all ship calibrated). Follow simple steps in manual and you should be fine. Email help @ busy if you need more help.

    19:30 anyway to deal with the pops between the changing modulations recorded?

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pop sounds here are actually more likely coming from CVing the Castle's level (a side effect of the vintage chips it uses). If however, you are getting pops from the CV on Squid, attack and decay / loop x-fade adjustments can usually help smooth it out.

    I have patched Polyphony and scales using my Vector and Plaits. Is it correct that the playback chords are one 'trigger' behind the recorded sample in Ch 1? It seems to record into a buffer and then replace the sample in Ch1 at the end of trigger.

    • @busycircuits
      @busycircuits  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the video I believe it is actually playing back live as it records. The Taiko's parameter changes only take effect when a trigger is received so some of the adjustments are heard slightly later due to that feature.

      @@busycircuits Hi, I found that if I use the same trigger for the record and to trigger 6,7 & 8 (transposed channels) then the playback on the transposed channels would be one trigger behind. I used the EOS on Pip Slope to delay the trigger and the transposed samples now on the same trigger albeit a fraction of a second behind the beat.

    Not sure if it's my listening environment but the voiceover seemed a bit on the quiet side when there was music playing at the same time. Suggest to duck the music next time. Aside from that, great video!

      Thx + noted!. Is a little ducked but pls keep in mind we like to keep any post processing minimal so audio honest + true !

      @@busycircuits Yeah it could have been a combination of the voiceovers timbre plus my laptop speakers.
