    Even though I have zero interest in podium style DJ furniture, I really enjoyed this video lol. Your honesty and just the way you shot and edited the video was interesting and kept my attention. Btw, I am a wedding DJ and corporate DJ who stays constantly booked and it's not because of a podium style DJ table. Cheers!!!

    I just sold my control tower just last week because of the weight.The set up and take down is pretty quick , but pulling that case is a back breaker. I got a white dragon board facade and it looks great at weddings and much lighter. My days of lugging heavy equipment for me is over. had my days with crates.

    • @ozarkmixdj
      @ozarkmixdj  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel you on this one, my man! We actually drop dragon boards behind our control towers to hide our mixer and rack. You are so right that dragon boards look fantastic. Maybe we should do a review on those next?

      @@ozarkmixdj I like the look of the humpter and I’ve also recently purchased an opus quad so I thought it would look better on the humpter vs the command center. I’m looking forward to going full standalone. Worst case scenario if I don’t like the look of it, I can install the Humpter it in my studio. Also, I purchased it in white.

    Just keep playing good music DJ's in most markets people don't really care as long it's clean, professional and sound good. Also for sure they don't care what controllers we have that's crap only we care about and I own the Denon Prime 4 and the Denon SC4 Live and 3 Roland DJ707m(great controller for weddings) that rocked just as hard as all my new controllers. What was a step up for me was buying the MAUI 44G'2 leaving my 6 EV50's / QSC tops & 18" subs at home for most weddings unless I need them. The only controller people seem to notice is the big colorful DENON's and yes Furniture looks good to but not really functional for what I do. Plus I kinda enjoy my space from the drunk lady who wants to run up on you to request every song LOL

    • @ozarkmixdj
      @ozarkmixdj  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback! I love that you've stepped into those Maui 44s. Sick setup for sure. I disagree that people don't care. They do. Show up with a piece of DJ furniture and they pay attention. I'm simply saying, why not value yourself to look great AND sound great?

    • @masterpdj2623
      @masterpdj2623 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ozarkmixdj we'll agree to disagree on that one. All I'm saying is it doesn't work for me. Sometimes I might need 2 or 3 wireless mics and a mixer, Ipad and paper work or other things. I've owned my 5 start DJ company for over 45 years and this stuff comes and goes. My Prime4 plus I though I was going to love I'm returning it as I'm finding myself looking down while DJ'n all the time instead of looking up engaging the dance floor and Oh god don't let the wifi be slow as it will through your entire night off waiting on songs to download. I found my self playing almost full songs waiting on downloads to complete. I see some DJ's are actually setting a facade behind them to hide the stuff they need.
      Keep jamming brother.

      @masterpdj2623 A big factor with Dj furniture is the market you're in. Here in Chicago, wedding coordinators, events designers, and high-end venues hold a lot of power and won't book nor recommend companies who don't use Dj furniture.

    If I were DJ'ing at parties and weddings, I would never put myself through all the pain of carrying and setting up heavy equipment. You can DJ just as well with lighter equipment and a padded case. The flight cases are for Airlines, Buses, Trains / Touring type events, to keep it protected; not from going to local shows. That's just my opinion.
    If you're setting up nice-looking equipment like that for a wedding then you should be charging enough money to pay for an extra setup person. Unless you just want all the money!

      Ronald, we have 6 teams and, yes, we do have a setup team. I just like to set up my own table and controller. I don’t ask people to do something I’m not willing to do. As for pricing, our model accounts for the price of our gear. Thanks for the input!

      Yes and no. Sure, lighter is always nice. But no padded bag will offer the protection of a hard case. Even when we do local shows, were pulling either an 18' or 22' trailer loaded with gear. The cases make it easy to stack and strap everything to the walls. Even with certain load ins, we will strap two dual 18's together and stack more on top. Not possible without a hard case.
