    You guys are gems. thank you Sister Hilton and Brother Welch. I have been following the podcast for quite a while and want to express my gratitude for the time and effort that you guys put in to teach and share your knowledge. Truly grateful because missionary work, proselyting and religious materials etc. are not allowed and available here in this part of the world, but your words have reached here! And I’ve been blessed and enriched by all these lessons you both have taught. God has His own perfect timing for all things and nothing can stop His words and works. ❤

    I always like to end in 3rd Nephi. I read the books after as I finish Alma. It is the really inspiring book. But I have always wondered why we have no details about the times when they are living in a Zion society. It seems we could use some details on how Zion operated.

      @dixierepublican หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Book of Mormon does teach us a lot about how to be Zion-like people. In addition to 4 Nephi, we get examples in 2 Nephi (Nephi's people settling in the land of Nephi), Mosiah (following King Benjamin's sermon & Alma's people in Helam), Alma (the people of Ammon & the followers of Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty), and in Ether (Mahonri's people in America, and the followers of King Omer and King Lib).
      We find these key principles: repentance, faithful to God and His laws, no contention, humility, equality, and industriousness. The blessings were posterity, prosperity, and peace.

      @@dixierepublican I agree. But look at the few short verses that describe the Zion society years, compared with the numerous details of their warfare. Perhaps the details I am seeking are in the sealed portion. Perhaps they will be revealed as we need them. I would like more details as to their gospel preaching that converted the whole people. And details of how they eliminated poverty. If they could provide details of the fortifications against their enemies, which Mormon did, I wonder why he left out details of the centuries of peace.

    I really enjoy your podcast and always learn new things. I know this is hard to remember but could remember that the land of Nephi is higher than Zarahemla. The headwaters of the River Sidon start in wilderness of Nephi. They always travel DOWN to Zarahemla and UP TO the Land of Nephi. Maybe not too important but I think we should get it right.

    Jesus is able to do all things! He can come to Nephi the night before he is born! I explained that to my grandchildren! The spirit can come and go from the body he will inhabit on earth if so necessary! He very well can speak for himself before birth! ❤He comforted Nephi as he comforts us! This my feelings I told to my grandchildren!
