Wow. I never expected Jenna to play Batgirl well. Technically she doesn’t look like a comic book fan to me. She’s more formal style of art making. But hey. As long as subverting expectations goes well, instead of ending results that wimps, it wouldn’t matter.

it's kind of crazy...but Batgirl facing off against Harley is interesting. Though, I doubt Jenna would ever do a comic character...although she IS doing Wednesday Addams.

That is AMAZING! Some serious echoes of the old Birds of Prey series. And I could see this going one of two different ways. One, would be just a straight up origin for both Barbara and Harley; kind of like how Smallville was for Clark and Lex. The other way this could go is, if you have an older, retired Batman, taking cues from Batman Beyond, but with Barbara in the Terry McGinnis role.
Once again, the fans doing the best work.
Studio should cast her and this idea immediately!

I like the idea but they did Harley being a therapist? to Batman's daughter on the WB TV show "Birds of Prey ". In the end, I believe Batgirl fought Harley.
That would be a fun movie!
She has the acting range and depth to portray a DC character, but of course it all depends on the writing, right? I really like this concept. Again, it all depends on the execution if this what if was made into a reality.
Story is crucial!
So while I don't think Jenna isn't a bad choice to play someone in a super hero film I absolutely think Jenna Ortega would be wasted as a Batgirl because even when they made a Batgirl film the villain was Firefly...that's someone from Batman's rouge gallery and not a very good one at that. If anything write he as a detective from the GCPD to work with both Gordon and Batman as Gordon is getting up in age. Or write her as an original character because the Batman Arkham games had so good characters like Aaron Cash, Quincey Sharp, Electrocutioner, Lt. Brandon, the Arkham version of Cooper Head, it's possible to just write a good character and not force someone into a role.

Interesting take, the Bat family hasn't been done correctly in year's exept in animated film's and series.

I don't think it's a matter of need. If she want to, I'm sure they wouldn't say no to her. It just depends on... if she thinks it will be challenging enough for her as an actress to take on a role like that. So I can see it happening if she is interested. and Gunn has a good enough script for her.
