  • Internet connectivity is key for most businesses. Basically the quicker the connection speed, the better. There are two main types of connections that businesses consider for their link to the outside world, that is a #Leased Line or #Fibre #Broadband. There are a few differences between the two, the main differences being speed, uptime, and price.
Some of you have asked about load balancing and failover, if this is something you're looking at putting in place, the router we use to do this is this one: amzn.to/3n6Mbzq

I'm here in the Philippines and our standard fiber broadband upload speed is the same as the download speed. I'm using a 100 Mbps connection and is being used by at least 50 users everyday. My company is thinking of getting another internet connection for expansion and they are looking into leased lines. Any thoughts why we should stick with the fiber broadband instead of leased line? note: the second broadband that we will use, if ever, will be from a different company than the one we have right now for redundancy purposes.

Sounds like standard Fibre, and separating the networks might be ok for you. If the budget allows it though, I would consider a Leased Line for higher service levels.

does leased line use copper cables or fibre

I have a gaming question. I was told that living near the servers when playing call of duty helps insanely that’s why thee youtubers dominate like most people only dream of. So my first question is is that true and second question is How can I get a leased connection? Is it available in America

I can only comment on UK connectivity, where you can get Leased Lines, if you're willing to pay for it!

Call of duty, at least when I checked last, uses peer to peer connection, so even if you have low latency in a speed test, if the host of the game is lagging, so will you.

A leased line would give you the lowest of ping (latency), close to 0 if you live somewhere like london where all the servers used by games are located.
