Jewellery styles vary from region to region, but bench tools are the same the world over. What a brilliant way to lay out silver filigree... that is a game changer for me.
In case nobody has mentioned it already, the round circular thing he made around the set is called a 'Tinker's Dam'....hence the old expression...worth a Tinker's Dam...meaning almost nothing as it is a temporary dam to hold everything together only until it can be permanently joined, then it is scrapped. Love and respect for the incredible and beautiful jewelry handmade by true artisans. If only the world still embraced this knowledge and the skill and patience each piece takes. I am so humbled and awed and appreciate their love for their craft.
That is wonderful work. I have a piece like this which I bought in Delhi 30 years ago. I watched the jeweller make it on the side of the road. I treasure it.
Besides the great ability and forming techniques of the jeweler I appreciated seeing the hand powered rolling mills with their inertia wheels and huge rolls (larger rolls will produce flatter sheets and wires) and his wire cutting pliers with holes for different diameters. The best thing I have ever seen to create evenly sized granules. And the refractory blanket he lays them on to round them up. Better than what is taught and sold by high class jewelry studios in the US. So many places where traditional jewelry techniques have been maintained but have been lost in richer countries. This is where one should go for workshops on these techniques.

A master craftsman for sure. The satisfaction of producing a product from raw material with your own hands is something very few can be proud of these days.
Wow! I have more appreciation for these jewelry now. I must admit I thought these were mostly made from premade molds. This is so much detailed intricate work. We must protect the artisans at any cost. Great video.
Omg what's great experience arts work very talented person weldone so impressed by your work so respect bro ....I m sure its in Pakistani hard working people so proud of you Allah bless you......love from UK.
Oh my God This is an incredible work, here where I live there is a school of how to make jewelry, but they use machines to do all, of course they can not do that work you did, it is exquisite, elegant and marvelous. Greetings from Mexico.
This craftsman must have started making jewellery when he was young (I would say very young) and he knows exactly what and which process is linked with the next one to continue until he has the finished article. I sincerely hope that we NEVER lose all the crafts people from all walks of life. As all creatives are needed today and especially in the for see-able future, as they are a vital part of what makes you and me human. Lovely work.
Truly Jewelry Art! This process is not an easy one! I do not believe that people really know what goes into the art of creating beautiful jewelry. I am still learning simple skills. How I would love just to sit quietly and watch this Master work.
Wow! What extraordinary craftsmanship! Magic in the fingers, and light in mind and imagination. A bewitching video. Thanks for uploading it. I was totally charmed. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania

Now THAT is real handmade!! ❤
Antique tools still in use for fancy jewelry making! Amazing skills in jewelry artistry! Natural born artist.

If he had money he would replace them.
Not natural born. Just practice

Investment casting plaster, which dissolves in hot water unlike regular plaster. 👍

In Europe women do not wear such jewelry but still it is nicely done. It is an old technique handed down from generation to generation.
Never new this much hard work goes into making a single piece. Really appreciate it now.
Keep up making more videos. Great effort
Fabulous. More talent than I would have in 10 lifetimes.
I have learned so much from this 1. How this filigreed work is made and 2. I will never be able to create this beautifully.
The precision is outstanding, what craftsmanship 👏

Is the refractory blanket made of asbestos? It looks like it but I sure hope not.
