I have the smooth q, the first one, and you are right. It is so big, bulky and even heavy that I don’t use it anymore. Definitely got my 👀 on this one. 🤗
Very informative 'first view' video! 👍 I've had this gimbal since its Kickstarter campaign and love it! Wee tip: If people are still seeing the gimbal motor in their shots, they can 'fine tune' their phone's position by sliding it ever so slightly more to the left once the gimbal is powered on (it's probably best to initially do this with the gimbal on a mini tripod to free up your hands until you get used to doing it with one hand/no tripod) 😉
How do you think the stabilizer works in comparison to the Osmo mobile regarding the compensation of the internal iPhone stabilization? In your outside walk it looked like a lot of up and down movement when the internal stabilization worked against the external gimbal stabilization. Looking forward to your opinion and comparison

Since picking up the Pocket, I've been debating whether to keep or sell my Osmo II. It's a fairly bulky piece of kit that I didn't use as much as I wanted because of its size and weight...but...I can't discount how much better footage I can get with my Galaxy S9+, plus zoom and better audio capture.
I also have an Osmo Pocket and got the Smooth Q2 as well because of it’s size and my phone takes much nicer video. I’ve used both at the same time; my phone to capture regular video shots and my pocket for hyperlapse footage while walking around. I’ve also shot events with both to offer different angles as well. I have noticed that I do use my Pocket less now that I have the Q2, though I still love my Pocket.

Good review, but I think that gimbal is not really good 😅 The Iphone 11 pro is stable like that. You can still see the steps. It doesn’t look much different. Good review. You saved me $140 😁
I have it, received just few days ago and I think it has several serious problems. 1) it has micro shakes 2) it is unstable if you want to tern, make it up and down. It loses the balance 3) It is not well designed, you often see the gimbal part at your screen. I am thinking to sell it and take other better brand.
Ed Rambeau agreed nowadays a GoPro 8 will smooth this the most and you don’t even need a gimbal and it’s smaller , lighter and waterproof. What I find useful for a gimbal is active track and motionlapse(timelapse but I can select the points to start and stop etc )
@@SingaporeUntold The GoPro uses electronic image stabilisation only though. Means if you want to use the proper 180-degree rule for the shutter speed you will still get blurry footage.
poor demo ever seen...this is no instruction man, this only usefull as a remembre for users all ready worked with this gimbal. for a instruction/review much to high speed talking and "showing how too". Missing: no expl. about the meaning pf to pof, how to put in vortex? (is does not work by my gimbal Q2) the only new I for me: the mic. (8:35)
I guess this and other reviews are paid reviews, or at least Zhiyun sends free gimbals to reviewers... Even now I face problems with gimbal and do not understand why you dont talk about its downsizes...

The size is great but once you started walking during the test video oh, it was bouncing all over the place. My osmo mobile 2 doesn't do that.
Is it possible (space) to also connect the Røde microphone the other way, so that you can use it to record som from yourself?

Have you tried this gimbal with iphone 11 pro. Mine, sound significantly better without rode mic. Perhaps something to do with ios 13.3?

Not as is But there are adapters that makes gopros work in smart phone gimbals. However I have not tested it in this particular gimbal yet

you lose your iPhone when its hooked up to this Gimbal, you have to have two iPhone, one for the gimbal and one to keep you InTouch with the world
