My first Harley was a '74 ironhead when I was 19. I'm 52 now and I'm building a 73' ironhead right now and hopefully I can get it close to looking like my old '74 I had. I have regretted ever since I sold my '74 in 1995. I love ironhead Sportsters.
It was nice and relaxing just watching and enjoying the iron head note. my first Harley was a '74 ironhead that looked and sounded, a lot like this one. I hand made all the custom parts, cos it was many years ago, forward controls and stretched swing arm, extended rear fender struts and old school ducktail rear, extended forks and straight through shotguns. it was long and loud and I loved it. thanks for the memory jog, made my day.
Looks like a ‘78 XLH with an added kick starter; aftermarket cobra seat, +6” tubes, a pre late 1973 tail light/rear fender, CV carb, late handlebar controls…love that sound!
I cant believe that this guy is riding in the center of the lane exactly where the oil slick is located. Riding 101...... be carful brother....stay to left or right of those slicks....
First Harley was a 75 Ironhead when I was 20. I'm 52 and this video brought back some great memories 👍

I am getting mine back from the shop on Friday. I will just continue to watch this until then.

Anytime! Glad you got something out of it, ironheads are great bikes.
