I’m thinking that he knows “survival English” pretty well but might find listening to the news to be difficult. As a Korean student now, I can go to the Korean store or restaurant and ask for what I want, but watching a Korean TV program without subtitles takes me back to childhood when 엄마 would get together with her classmates and speak Korean but as a kid, I didn’t understand anything
I think the hardest thing about learning a new language is the pronunciation, will get shy because I think people will make fun of us. we all gotta start somewhere.

The trainees under Sergeant Jung Hoseok’s command were so lucky to have someone who is strict but fair. I can’t understand why they weren’t given water bottles as part of their kit. TG for Hobi being kind and providing them. He’ll need to keep speaking English to improve his fluency. He’s improved a lot so he just needs the practise.
His English skills are probably pretty good but as per usual JHope isn't boastful about his accomplishments...he took off for the USA shortly after his discharge and I guarantee he spoke English a lot!!! 😉😉
OH papasito,all BTS 7Army 7ANGLES had pick-up English but they don't want to admit it, to the public, but they use it there English for business wise,most of the time ok.
