Hi Gordon. Love your channel mate😊 Keep up your good work. Ps could you check your microphone, as it sounds very muffled and difficult to hear properly 😢 take care. Im
I have to say that the new West Midlands Railway Class 730/0 3-Car trains are very nice and it’s nice to see them in service on the Cross-City Line. And London Northwestern Railway are to introduce the 5-Car Class 730/2s sometime later this year I think.
West coast railways are leasing stock that complies with current standard's , they were told many years ago that central locking would need to be fitted , they have repeatedly refused to even consider fitting central locking . They would have got temporary exemption this year if they had put into place finance and plan to fit central locking but they expected to get exemption to fitting it (no other operator has ) Sorry but I have no sympathy for WCR ,they just don't want to spend the cash , just like few years ago with TPWS/AWS running with them isolated ! nearly causing collision with HST . They have have had loads of issues with safety leading to withdrawal of main line access , you run on network rails metals then you comply with current safety regulations but WCR seem to think they don't need to !
They are not leasing compliant stock at all. Do get your facts right. They already own the market 2 coaching stock with the conversion to central lock the door. Railways ran for over 100 years without centrally locked doors with no problems. Pity the idiots of today are so risk averse it has to be made impossible to open the doors even in an accident. Didn’t think of that did you? And the statement new trains is just child speak, Black fives always pull the Jacobite and Ian Riley owns them. So what part of the train is new? The mark 2 coaches date from at least the 1960’s so hardly new. This oversafe on the railways is so stupid that coaches have to have doors painted a different colour from the rest of the coach because the modern generation are too thick to find the doors otherwise. Big clue, they are generally located at either end of the coach!
@@stevenmoran4060 According to my inside information WCR don't have any central locking sets they lease them (maybe my info is wrong ! and they are verdantly refusing to convert theirs and have taken their case to the transport minister . No other operator has got the exemption to run stock without the door locking apart from NYMR but they only run 25mph on the network to Whitby . WCR have flouted safety regulations for years , running with TPWS/ AWS isolated , ineffective crew training , plus much more and this is why they got their main line ticket pulled . Yes I agree we managed on slam door stock for years , but chances of doors remaining locked in accident are fairly remote , loss of main res pipe or door interlock train wire will release locks . I'm not up on passenger specs now as diverged off onto freight side although we do run some loco hauled specials and did crew the many of the steam services when WCR got banned off the network , and got inside info of how WCR where operating Statement on new trains ? not me was it ? well aware they ain't new , are they still running vacuum stock on Jacobite as think this causes issues fitting locking

not a complaint. Your sound level of the video is very low compared to other you tube videos. Keep up the good work !
It’s the editor I’ve used. It’s happened before- frustrating. They’ve updated it and now everything is quiet. Sorry.
@@nodrograilways YT stats tell me the volume is at -14, and a lot of it is muffled as well.
Good stuff Mr G!
A shame 70000 later on, had. Failure 😢
What year was this taken
The loco on thumbnail? About 2021 I think
