I've noticed that many people come here for different reasons. Overall, it is to either speak, or write well, maybe both. Speaking for myself, it is both, but the tone of your voice is where I capture the subject, by closing my eyes to increase my learning by using one peripheral only. Then I watch the examples; building my confidence. In college, (by example.) I learned that more people pay more attention to the speaker's hands, and body language, rather than what is being said. I found that not making eye contact is a mistake in a college setting. But, making it personal gives an 'attention grabber' by way of animation; forcing them to look you in the eyes, as if I knew it was you who put my name down in the first spot on the list of speaker's lol. Clearly, by learning to write better, will increase a person's ability to speak in front of a crowd with confidence. I love this channel 🦋
I'm glad I found you, Sparkle. You're such a blessing to me. I love all your videos and how you break them down and take your time to explain them with your sweet voice.
I love your channel. You are so smart. I am 72 but have dementia so I am trying to stay engaged to continue to learn. I always had dyslexia but refuse to give up. Thank you so much 😊😂❤😊
Your style of teaching is top-notch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have had a heard time understanding subject-verb agreement perfectly; however, after watching some of your video lessons on that topic, I would say I have understood it clearly. I must admit that your teaching style is highly commendable. Keep it up! Once again, thanks for taking your time helping us to improve our English grammar skills. I look forward to receiving more videos on other aspects of English grammar.
I managed to get 6 correct, and that's by years of use, not because I know the rules of English. This was challenging, especially the proper use of is and are. Thank you for these helpful tutorials, I need them all.
Hello Jennifer! I really loved your videos on punctuations it helped and cleared my doubts way much than any text book ever did. I want to ask you for a favour. Could you please let me know if you have any videos regarding ..active voice and passive voice .. I am a writer and I often see in my website content the grammar checker apps often suggest that I have used passive sentences. I want to know how to understand if I'm writing in active or passive and do one of your exercise regarding active passive. Please let me know if you could help out. I look forward to a reply. Thank you!
Hello! Thank you for your kind words. I don't have any videos on active vs. passive voice yet, but I do plan on creating some! I know it's very common for spell checkers such as Grammarly to discourage passive sentences. However, I use passive sentences all the time and believe it is very natural for writers to write in this way. A mixture of passive and active sentences is quite normal. :)
Well done, Ma. Please, help me with the answer to these questions: Success and failure (is, are) not easily judged. War and peace (is, are) not easily judged.
your class is very magnificent madam, plz include such examples as well, 1. Time and tide ................. for no man. (wait/ waits) 2. Two and two ..................four. (make / makes ) with explanation plz
Hello Jennifer, thank you for all the valuable information you supply, it's greatly appreciated. Again, sorry, isn't the comma in this lesson in the incorrect place? ("every",) I would just like to ask if in English literature the use of single and double letters, is there a rule in this regard or must the spelling be learned, or if you have a lesson on the subject? (wi leers, leon, etc.) Many thanks.
