Ive been a "sit in a box all night" security guard. it was in the woods watching over a vehicle recall site. pitch black using an abandoned nuclear powerplant as the site. listening to bobcats scream like women being murdered while i stood by a flimsy chain fence and couldn't even see past it. you would be surprised how a chain link fence blocks vison even if you shine a light through it. It was like an actual horror game where the only sound was your feet crunching on gravel in the dark, and when you get tired you start to think maybe its not just your footsteps your hearing

my house was in a similar ambient for years, just switch out forest with bobcats for jungle with "malandros" walking back paths and seeing if they could steal anything (venezuelan for thieves particularly murderous thieves in my experience) oddly the only time I actually fought one in close combat was after the chainlink was switched for a concrete wall...
Yeah honestly there's quite a bit of potential in a game like this. There's FNAF of course, but that's pretty played out I think. This is nice but kinda short. Imagine a well-paced horror game about being a security guard that doesn't solely rely on jumpscares. The setting by itself (being alone, at night, dealing with a skeleton crew of client employees or none at all) evokes tension all on its own, and in this you didn't even need to patrol anywhere. Honestly I think that's why I prefer watching this dude play horror games more than the more popular dudes. When he gets spooked it seems more genuine.

I’m sure the developer had a lot more endings in mind. Like what if you never left the booth… or find out who this ‘new’ employee is and what is real motivation for trying to get in like Natasha…. There’s so many possibilities for lore in this game.

What could possibly go wrong?
I did security for a couple of years and I was on 3rd shift. I heard banging on the window in front of me and I saw a woman screaming at me. She was on meth and her bf beat her up really bad. He broke some of her ribs and fingers, as well as messing up her face. I treated her injuries as best I could and had to wait on emts and police. It was crazy, because I didn't know if he'd show up and I was by myself with no traffic.

Needless to say: I've heard 2 haunting stories from 2 other security officers that I've spoken to in the past. Both work with the same company I'm with.
The first one, my mother, worked at the same location as the second. She took a shift at the most haunted location in my home city, which is an old academy / auditorium. This academy is well-known for its dark past of the nuns (the building was originally a church) murdering children.
While on shift, my mother was expected to report any alarms that may have sounded off in the building, intrusions, opened/unlocked doors that should be closed/locked, and was expected to patrol the perimeter of the building hourly.
It had been a quiet night for her, but she knew the place was haunted. While on her hourly patrol outside, she saw the shape of someone or something in the upper balcony of the second floor (there are 3 floors to this building) inside. She was immediately creeped out. Only she was meant to be in the building. Everyone else was gone. So, she re-entered and patrolled the inside of the academy, finding no one. Naturally, she returned to her station at the entrance of the building. A short time after, a loud car alarm-like sound started blaring in the building. It was the building's built in alarm system. Panicked, she had to wander though a large, circular office-like room with terrible lighting, then down a lightless corridor to check the only door that would've caused the alarm to sound. A large, metal door that takes a considerable effort to push open. Suspicious, yet also beginning to worry, my mother returned to the front desk to speak with our Operations center. As she contacted Ops, the alarm blared again. Ops instructed her to go and shut off the alarm. She was freaking out, but went to shut off the alarm. The door hadn't budged. The alarm was silenced, and she went back to her desk as soon as possible. After hanging up on Ops once all was quiet again, she began speaking to my father. Anxiety and nerves were high.
The alarm, once more, started going off as she spoke to my father. My mother ran out of the building and begged for my father to pick her up, then called the Ops center to send someone else. She could not handle the stress of something or someone potentially luring her with the constant alarms.
Security officer #2
This young gentleman experienced something far more surreal than my mother. Being a spiritual man at heart, he found it unbelievable when he experienced what he did. As my mother once did, he, too, sat at the entrance to the academy at the main desk. He was on his phone, minding his business, when he noticed a light had blinked on, then off, at the entrance door to his left. A sensor light that detects movement, only lighting up when something passes through its sensor. He found it odd, but it could've been a malfunction. To his right, another light blinked on and off. The other entryway sensor, leading into the building. Both happened within a second. He stood up, walked around the room, and found nothing. As he wandered back to the desk, the left sensor's light blinked on for a couple seconds, then turned off. Then, the right side sensor. He described to me that he could feel the energy in the room growing. As if he was feeling the energy of a group of people around him. The left sensor turned on, then off. The right, on and off. Within seconds of each other. Left sensor, on and off. Right sensor, on and off. The pace quickened with each passing moment as the officer sat dumbfounded and increasingly more terrified of what he was witnessing. Light on, light off. Faster. Faster. The energy in the room grew more and more. Hairs began to stand on his arms and neck. He told me it looked like a strobe light had been set off in the sensors, before he ultimately fled the building to call Operations in fear of what was happening.
Honestly, both stories sound like things straight out of a scary movie, but they're both true and terribly real. My mother has even seen ghost orbs in cameras at one site she had worked at. The cameras weren't outside, nor could her coworkers see any dust particles around the camera as she watched them swat away anything that was around the lens. The orb danced in view as she stared in wonder, not knowing what it was until I told her about things in Phasmophobia (go figure!).
Anyway! Thanks for coming to my TextTalk. Hopefully someone enjoyed the stories I've heard from haunted sites that security officers have to work at!

Am I the only one who thinks, that the experience is ten times more funny when Insym is legit spooked all the time but tries to reduce the spook by trying to break the game xD?
i love how they built an athmosphere with so little, of course the artstyle helped a lot but the fact that the only thing that happened early in the game was just a blue car drived by some weird guy, and with just only that you are already scared

ah, insym playin' games ABG played. if that's the case, may i reccomend a game? it's called In Sound Mind, it's available on Steam as a demo, and comes out in September. it has a great story just based on the demo and is pretty dang fun!
It follows more of a psychological horror , though the super market part is something you might like

I do overnight security where I monitor cctv and do walkthroughs of the building alone at night, 75% of it is downtime and I watch so much youtube it's ridiculous.
Been to the stream and that flying car made me laugh pretty hard. Both hilarious and spooky, but not tedious. Godly combo.

Worked security at a college on third shift. Shit gets scary, your mind likes to play tricks on you when you walk through a chapel at 3am or behind the building through a camera blind spot with only a flashlight
Forgot to mention, used to watch ghost videos and horror games while working there and boy can those night get terrifying

its not often that something dissappearing can scare someone. i know from the start that this will be good
I noticed the "new guy" in a blue car is death (D34 T93) and he's the one who triggers the explosion ending. Also the game happens in 1996, same year of every note and Natasha's death.
The 1st ending is the person from the black car (not Natasha, the normal person) trying to run away from the explosion, but the red car (I think it was Mario) falls on it and everyone dies anyway.
So there should be a different ending if you don't let anyone in. Or maybe you die, but everyone else is safe and a different ending triggers.

Night shift person here, watching this at 4:00am my time, on shift at work right now, pretty nice a fairly quiet night tonight. Hope for no shenanigans on my shift, but sometimes strange things do happen.

I used to be a graveyard shift security officer at a really high end high rise in late 2018. The place was brand new had just been built the year before back in 2017 and I was the main patrol guard (another guard is there to watch the cameras and the gate) who patrolled the lobby area and the clubhouse area. Now I want to say first I never really believed in paranormal things until I experienced what I'm about to tell you. I saw this during one of my hourly patrols in the clubhouse area but first I'd like to describe something about the pool near the clubhouse. It has these big speakers that play music pretty loud all around the outside part of the club. Now I knew immediately that something was off when I entered the clubhouse area because the speakers were playing music BUT the music was... weird. Slowed down. It's hard to describe but it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up it was so strange sounding. Anyway I continued patrolling the clubhouse I checked the gym doors as usual they were locked the kids play area was locked bathrooms etc etc. It was when I was coming around to the indoor restaurant when I got really spooked and it was also right around here when the music started to somewhat play at normal speed but it still seemed like it was playing a little slower than usual. The private dining and conference rooms lights were on (those lights were NEVER left on) and the lights were just going completely insane nonstop flickering. So I go inside to turn off the lights. I check the place out to make sure no one is in there and there was no one... just me... so I turn the lights that are going apeshit off because they were getting annoying and I start to make my way out of there and I shit you not the second I closed and locked that door the damn lights turned back on and were doing their flickering going insane thing now remember I had JUST gone in there and checked that WHOLE place there was no one in there at least no one that I could see... I did not see anyone but something in that room turned those lights back on. Anyway that's my story on the paranormal take it how you want it you can think I'm lying but I'm just telling you what I saw and heard that night. Now before you ask sadly there were only 2 cameras watching the clubhouse area and they couldn't see the flickering lights BUT I took my phone out and recorded the lights going apeshit. My phone sucked then and the quality isn't the greatest but I do have proof of it plus you can hear the weird music in the background that's how loud it was(normally the music wasn't playing THAT loud those speakers were kind of far from the spot I filmed from) just wanted to share what I witnessed.

I work security and just got moved onto the night shift from day shift. No one told me we have an old fashioned phone that rings randomly in the night, and wont stop even if you pick up the line.
In the second run you said you didn't let anyone in that was supposed to be there. Except your wrong because the second car drove through the gate when it glitched open.
