That being said, there are knives that I mention that cost around 50$...PS 1 The knives and generaly the lists on these kind of TH-cam channels, are totally junk products, and that's what they try to do, They try to promote, what doesn't sell and is left stock on shelves. PS2 I don't open mail with the Mille Cuori and I am not rich. Where I work, at least 3 partners quit each and every season, because they can't survive the hard work under hard conditions. We will never know it all BUT, my biggest complain, is that every single guy, that watched a couple of videos, starts a TH-cam channel, and claims to be an experienced Survival instructor or knife expert. However, they don't even know how to tie the laces of their shoes. Only people that really know about knives, are people you can find on knife forums. TH-cam is all about marketing and lies... hundreds of epxerts, that don't actually know sh...t.
I have 5-6 different SOG knives and i have to say their new blades are awesome. I highly recommend them. The Gerber Propel has good steel, it is a weak assisted opener (sometimes not even fully engaging) and I do not carry it anymore, and probably never will. Schrade, really, top 10 military knives made, yeah right. Someone is getting paid. What a joke.
Yeah, I have had the exact same thought watching many of their videos- they ALWAYS include a Schrade knife. They must be a sponsor, because in my 15-20 years of collecting (and using) quality knives, I don’t know a single person who buys or carries anything by Schrade.

I think that S.O.G. has really stepped up their game when it comes to fabricating knives,they know what the public wants when it comes to steels and the look of the knife,I really like the new look too
In my opinion, the 5.11 Camp Knife CFK7 is their best knife. 13” overall length and .28” thick SCM 435 steel. An updated version with a matching smaller knife (CFK4) and matching hatchet is coming out soon. The Doug Marcaida Karambit knives are cool too.
Switchblades are illegal for carry in North Carolina. Also any fixed blades knives if carried has to be carried out in the open so any law enforcement officer can visibility see it. Also folding knives are not supposed to be over 4 inches overall closed. North Carolina has some restrictive knife laws. It would be nice if we could carry automatic knives for self defense in NC. You can buy them for collectibility but not for carry.
It's a shame that the knives in the thumbnail aren't included. These are an Australian maker, Halfbreed Bladed. From left to right, their Large Military Knife, Bushcraft Knife and Large Survival Kinfe (tanto variant). I have the LSK Tanto and, if I was dumped somewhere with nothing else, I would pick that knife. It is ridiculously over engineered and will intimidate pretty much anything into submission.

I have mine on order. You can get on in one year if your in the military. And yes, they still use them they are rare but still great.

Agreed. I wouldn't buy one of these junk blades. Cold Steel is 100xs better! I have over 40. Every one is excellent. There's no way these guys are going to handle a Cold Steel knife like they do these. They'll be in the ICU.
I think companies are going halfway in with the design. If you compare a bayonet to these you can get more out of that then these knifes. But the durability is less. Where a private company could offer both they don't.

I didn't know 511 made knives. But in all seriousness..... I saw nothing I would buy. Where's the Cold Steel? The knives you show here are a lot of name, not much quality to me. Cold Steel are durable and razor sharp. You cannot handle them like you do these knives. You'd get cut badly.
All well and good and nice knives. ANY one of them if you stab someone in the ribs you will cut yourself! thefinger guard has to be larger. It doesn't matter test it yourself. If it's really sharp your gloves won't matter. Number one don't cut yourself, don't leave your blood behind! And don't say technique in the heat you just go. Overall some nice pieces that you got paid to promote!
And if we’re talking about “ultimate” military/tactical knives, I see no mention of Hardcore Hardware, Miller Bros Blades or Halfbreed Blades. #videofail

The crkt folder is an excellent knife. I don't like folding knives but it is a great knife.

I prefer products of superlative quality. I buy knives from Extrema Ratio for example. I like Böhler steels for example.

The only folder I have I would consider to fit this category is a CRKT M16-14SFA Special Forces. The rest are fixed blades.
I mean the zt 350 is damn near indestructible.

Just an FYI, nobody wants to sharpen serrated edges in the field. I’ve never seen a troop with serrated edges on their knife.
