Georg Bertini Unicycle act 2004

This was taken in July 2004 at the Medora Musical, Medora, North Dakota. This was my last year of performing before my career ending back surgery. What a great gig that was, I had a blast there!

@curiousgeorge555 Ironically, after having ridden on unicycles for almost 40 years, I blew out my back working in a theater moving scenery. I did suffer some injuries over the years, some serious and some minor. It's just something you deal with. I do miss perfoming my unicycle act, but life goes on.

Such a great act! I love it! I am working on a unicycle adagio act with my partner. We are working on the duo giraffe skill with her balanced on the hub. Any advice on working this trick? What size unicycle are you using in this video? 6 foot? I have a 7 footer. Thank you for your help!

May I ask if the back surgery was due to riding a unicycle? I ask because I am oldish and get back aches a little bit but took up the unicycle again. Thank you and great performance!

these hubs are comparable in strength to modern isis hubs ? @qu-ux @madforone

I machined the hubs from 4140 unhardened material about 30 years ago or more. Modern equipment tends to be lighter in weight.
