And gemstones( natural Stones) are not cold. They just take the temperature that the enviroment has. It means the temperature of the place where they are at that moment. Like if the Stone is in a Hot place It ll be Hot. But if you turno on the Air conditioner the same Stone Will be cold. That s It. We are in Spring. Spring Day is on September 21 st in my Country. Faceted stones called rivioli, pear shape, etc have a painted metallic back. The use of gold foil on back of stones goes way back to the Middle Ages. The box was made by a famous costume jewelry company Florenza. I have many pieces of them which are influenced by pieces that are antique.
