This is one of my favorite predator figures. His story is pretty sweet too. He kills an engineer which is no easy feat. You should check out predator fire and stone. It’s a good run. You’ll like it. This is definitely one of my favorite predator characters besides the concrete jungle predator. Oh, just to note the hand that he comes with in package that an open hand is the one you want to use for the disk. Overall this a wonderful rerelease. I’m so glad neca is rereleasing a bunch of these older predator figures. I can’t wait to get my hands on the bad blood and enforcer predator also. Great review as always buddy! Very enjoyable 👍🍻

Despite all the issues with articulation ,re used body parts ,paint and so on..I still enjoy collecting the Predator line from NECA toys and will continue to do so..Thank you for your through and honest reviews Spot.
OMG, yes the right hand is meant to hold the disc weapon, just push the fingers in all the way and don't baby the figure. It's tougher than it looks. The gauntlet blades will stay in IF you push the blade box in ALL THE WAY. If you don't they will of course fall out, both blade boxes have stops however so the blades will extend only so far IF you put them on correctly. That back clip is supposed to be for the Engineer gun if you look at the images on the box. It seems to me that you like these Predator figures NECA puts out but don't know much about them straight out of the boxin order to not have these issues. I haven't encountered any of your problems with these figures at all.

I agree on the blades falling out and the other issues stated, I don't get how NECAs qc is so bad on predators yet there horror figures are fine, also how much predators go for on the secondary market w/those issues.

It's a solid figure, the my only complaint is the skirt, which greatly hinders his leg articulation. My copy also had a few flaws. The wrist computer, the paint had sealed the hinge shut. I loosened it with a heat gun and Xacto. The arm for the Plasma Caster was installed backwards, and I had to reposition it.
I just picked this figurine up and the golden angel and I'm just waiting on it to arrive at my house BUT I watched both your reviews before I bought them
Ahab fought a engineer and killed it with help and by the skin of his teeth and after seeing the power of one engineer him and galgo go battle another one knowing either of them would most likely get killed they lost but they were lucky to survive and than ahab defeated hornhead and got the respect of a other group of yautja what a badass
Love this figure. The only thing is, like you mention is that his wrist blade gaudtletare hard to keep on. I wish they would have just sculpted the wrist gauntlet on the figure like the others. Especially the one with all 3 blades. I personally made it so it can't come off..I also wish there was a holster for his engineer weapon. Anyone who has problem with putting his bio mask on start from the top and than push against the face very carefully. I've noticed his mask stays on better than some in my opinion. Clan leader is kinda hard to keep on and some what horned head but ahab and ghost seem pretty easy to put on but that's just me. Thanks for the review spot! Always enjoy my dude👍💯
The only thing that sucks is that the previously released engineers are not the correct size. If NECA could release a full scale engineer that would be great.
I have to say that I don't like these types of plasma casters. They are too big and limit the arm and head movement (but I guess that is movie/ comic accurate) But I think that the wolf predator had the most convenient and practical plasma caster.
i don't have that problem with the wrist blades. they fit no problem. one thing i've notice with mine compared to yours is colouring. yours looks better. can't explain it but the paint work on yours looks better. also Ahab's eye. mine just has a black dot for his eye as yours has yellow eye with black pupil. apart from that, I love Ahab. one of my favourites with the Lost Armoured Predator
Should I get this or wait for NECA to release a ultimate Wolf predator figure since NECA announced that they are releasing a ultimate Wolf this late 2018
I love the Engineer rifle. If I could order Ahab from Amazon to get the rifle I can maybe have my Power Arm Terminator to hold it, but I don't know if it will fit.
@@lyranth I guess if u take all the armor and accessories off the figure, U can soak it in hot water to help loosen the joints. Ive heard collectors do this.
I remember when I bought that version of Ahab sealed I didn't know he was supposed to have the necklace skull because when I bought it he didn't came with it and when I saw pictures and of him it showed he had one but mines didn't
TheReviewSpot Check your gauntlets. The blade should not be able to fall out like that. The arm has a small tab that's supposed to stop the blades when you extend them. Maybe yours is defective The gauntlets on my copy are tight and secure. Check the arm on your plasmacaster, Neca installed it backwards. You can heat it and put it back on correctly.

Aside from a missing eye he also has a missing upper mandible on the right side of his face. Haven't read or seen the comic he's in either but he definitely looks like he's been in a heated battle
I have Ahab and I hate the little string things because they break so easily and the one broke on mine just because I moved the arm. And the plasma cannon also is impossible to put on in my opinion.
I just found this guy at Target and was incredibly excited. I've long considered him to be a crown jewel for my collection and I've been chasing him for years. Sadly, the arm of the cannon is warped where it connects to the pack so, I'll have to do an exchange and hope it's not a production line issue.

Wow, your tri-blade gauntlet might have a defect. Mine has a nice friction fit and doesn't move unless I pull it. That's a shame.

They should have just included a second masked head like with the Fugitive Pred. I believe the upcoming Ultimate Elder even has 3 heads included!
