I actually love to combine different chairs in family homes, especially when my sims arent that rich and has more generations. That looks like lovely and like many sims had given different pieces of furniture for the same home.
honestly, the exterior vibe (for me at least) gives off the notion that different owners have added different additions onto the house in their own materials based on their own preferences
I absolutely love how you include instructions on how to build things that I might not have known how to build and commands that I might not have known! It makes my builds so much more interesting!
I think for a dining table, since you were using so much Snowy Escape, you could have just used a Kotasu and everything would have matched. Love the build! Feel better soon!

I think this is my newest favourite house from you. It's so... comfy. Idkw. I think it's all the different shades of brown & that black teen room adds to space really well! Another idea I had was, instead of a rebellious teen, the teen may not be their kid? Like a niece/nephew that now lives with them, so they like keeping to themselves haha. I couldn't see the adults as strict parents for some reason (as the kid has a their own tv lol!). I imagine the adults just don't watch tv, while the kid does (maybe even for gaming), so they bought the kid a tv when asked. I imagine all three are awkward little introverts that don't talk much (it's why there's no tv as they prefer doing their own thing). & I like the desk under the stairs. I imagined it's because earlier on, they didn't expect to have a kid so the only free outlet to attach a computer to is under the stairs haha.
the way you record your videos is so nice to watch :) i’m used to sims youtubers talking about all kinds of things but you’re focused on the builds and it’s weirdly helpful for my sims building lol
I actually liked the house a lot more than I thought I would because of the challenge. All the different textures and furniture make it look interesting and unique in a really cool way. Great job!

Challenge idea: Every room can use all the packs, kits, etc...but only ONE item PER each thing. So like, you can use Cottage Living in two separate rooms, even if it's the same item, but if you're in the kitchen you can't use both the stove and the fridge from Cottage Living.

story idea: Maria had a knack of collecting items, but she didn't want any "duplicate", as she liked to put it, in her collection, not even when she was collecting trading cards from various fictional franchises. She never really outgrew her distate for "duplicates" so she resolved that once she owned her own house, she would never have any duplicate in it. Pedro, who was also an avid collector, understood where Maria came from, however, he outgrew his distate for "duplicates". He knew how essential the same kinds of chairs and counters were essential to keep the house cohesive and not look like an actual mess, unfortunately his wife will not budge, however, he was at least able to convince her to make the wallpapers and floors for a room to be the same, by pointing out chaotic and unruly their home would look like if they have different kinds of flooring for every square of their house. Gabrielle, did not like their mother's penchant of buying different things just because she doesn't like two things the same in her house. Had it not for their "resting bitch face", as their classmates called them when they were stoic, they knew they would have been the laughing stock at school. Like, why can't they have the same TV they had in the gym for their living room? Like, why can't they have two of the same end tables for their bedroom? If that was the case, they went to extremes to follow their mother's directive, but to satiate their need of something "duplicate", as their mother put it, they collected stickers, it didn't matter if she had five of the same stickers, she collected them and stuck them on the one endtable they got.

The Mother is a single parent after the Dad passed, or left, and has been taking out her feelings on her Daughter, being more strict and stern since changes with the father. The teen Daughter is now secretly rebelling, and slowly but surely preparing to get her freedom back. Anothor detail for me personally, i think the TV in her room can be hidden by a moving shelf door or something.

i was looking at the swatches for the snack pack clutter object the other day and noticed one of them is medical supplies! band aids, an ace bandage, some other little things. i put that in my sims bathroom
Hi Syd, love you and your videos! ❤️ they brought me into playing Sims again 🥰 I thought about a new hashtag last time and think it would be very funny if we create buildings and upload them under the hastag #fixmesyd so you can download them and have to „fix“ our buildings. Maybe we could also make a challenge out of it where you are not allowed to use other packs than the ones which are already used in the building etc. 😅 I think this is especially funny for new comers who are not as experienced with the building and terrain tools in Sims 😋
