Can you change the setting on the filter and pump water out of the pool instead of circulating it back into the pool for more suction. and replace the water...What setting would you use? the one that drains the pool I'm guessing

All of your videos have been really helpful in setting up our pool. What brand vacuum are you using in this video? The vacuum we bought is too big to connect to the inside of the pool.
So I take it all pool vacuums utilize the suction from whatever filter/pump you have? If I remove the inside cap from one of my ports it starts leaking water on the outside
What about algae? I'm trying to get dusty mustard algae out and it's pretty frustrating. My pump is more basic and doesn't have a waste function. I'm curious if this vaccum would work with the syphon affect. I did it with my garden hose but it takes forever. The larger tubbing might be better. Or could I just plug the return on the pool?
Hi! I have a smaller pool and only has 2 ports. Don't know anything about vacuuming. I attached the hose into the lower port. Did I do it correctly? Do I have to cover the higher other port? Thank you.

Sarah - Same questions here as well, and I also live in Arizona. My biggest issue is figuring out how to vacuum with the hose and keeping the dust out.
I found this very informative but you didn’t say anything about how the pump should be set up. It should on rinse?? 🤷♀️ the back wash valve should have the solid cover? Not the port to allow water out when back-flushing? Right? 🤷♀️
Omg i have watched 4 or 5 videos on how to set up a vacuum. Not a single one has adressed the one thing i need to know. How to turn the pump on the waste setting. I need to use flocculant and that can't go in the pump it has to go out of the pool on a waste setting. No one in all the flocculant videos i watched or setting up pump videos has said how. They either don't show it at all or mention it and say nothing about how. I dont even know if it has a waste setting. I have dead algae that is too fine to vacuum in ny robotic vacuum and i have to use flocc to get it to clump up and vacuum. But i dont know if the robot vacuum with work or if it will just stir it all up again so i want to use a vacuum to just suck the waste out and have it just come out of the pool all together on the wastw cycle. But nothing comes wjth instructions anymore to explain this stuff so i don't know which settings are which.
I really appreciate you being clear and simple for the ENTIRE process And helpful hints to avoid issues.

Yes it should be on the filter setting. Otherwise most likely you will pump the small particles back to your pool

What position should the filter be on?
Suction pressure will depend on the pump size (flow rate). A small pump - forget about it.

Through the filter is fine. That will catch all the small debris.

In your other video you said that port A is the suction. Now you are saying the port B’s are the suction.
