"Sea Marrow is okay." Just okay? That is my favorite thing to get from the stone cutter because I think you not only get stone out of it, but Sea Marrow is also used to fulfill a lot of quests.
@@charlesmidairI think I didn't address it's usefulness properly in this one for sure. I just felt like explaining that once we get into higher difficulties, where it has more uses than just as fuel. So you are absolutely right to bat an eye there ^^
I didn't know you could remove materials from defunct buildings! Those few extra bits of clay or wood can sometimes be crucial. Also didn't realize that one farm of workers won't be able to harvest everything, although this confirms a suspicion I had about the situation. Would love to see a second series after this one of you going through a run on Viceroy or Prestige difficulty, and explaining your reasoning along the way!
Don't be afraid to just drop 2 or more farming buildings by the same patch of soil in order to harvest more plots. It will eat up more workers but they will get you more stuff. The best check for if you need more workers is to check how many crops are left when you hear the Thunder sound right before the storm season starts. If you have crops still standing that late into clearence you need to build another farm so you have more workers hacking away. Perks related to farming, nearby werehouses or small hearths can also increase efficiency enough to squeeze out a few extra plots per season.
You can even go as far as just having a farm which you only put workers into during Clearance season to have some extra farmhands for the harvest. That's the only sprinkle I wanted to add to your excellent advice!
18:10 There is a map that has a condition where you do not get anything back for removing buildings. Makes the gameplay pretty interesting. Thanks for this video! Learned so much from watching it.
I've really enjoyed your against the storm tutorials! I think it would be a lot of fun to watch some lets play videos of you taking on the Queen's hand trials once your tutorials are done
I’ve started playing this game recently, slowly getting the hang of it, on Settler. But now I’ve run into a problem. I’ve discovered one of the Seals, and I have enough fragments to enter the Sealed Forest. But I don’t have Rainpunk tech or trade routes. Should I try the Sealed Forest, or go for another Settlement and level up more?
I'd strongly advise to have at least Trade Routes, cause the quests for the Seal always demand those. You don't need Rainpunk that badly if you have Trade Routes, but in your current position you have only 1 of 3 victory paths available which ends up with a very difficult scenario.
@@Ic0nGaming So, this run is unwinnable currently? OK, I think I’ll try to go for another Settlement and level up a bit more. Thanks for the quick reply!
@@Mousse9Not unwinnable, but there's only one way to solve it. And your last quest will demand you to have a very high resolve on all three species at once. I find that personally the hardest of all three available quests.
@@Ic0nGaming That does sound very hard. I’ve only reliably had one race have high resolve. Once I got two races, but that was near the end. I’m gonna go get more points to unlock trade routes. 👍
@@Mousse9I tried it now two times to win via resolve on the Seal map and failed both times quite horribly. I think I know what I'd need to do differently now, but I'm not exactly a newb either lol. So yeah, the quest which needs you to do two Forbidden Glades is the easiest one. You have 18 Minutes time (afaik) to resolve two events on Forbidden Glades. Very doable with some preparation. Or Rainpunk works well too, but needs more setup with Cornerstones and such. Have fun! o/

Haha, it IS a really good resource ^^

Agreed! And as an efficient fuel, you can use it to give your wood reserves a break, which is sometimes essential in the biomes that are poor in wood.

Yeah I really wish these would get plucked outta the workshop automatically.

Packs of Provisions are required for some glade events even in the first settlement.
Amazing guide so far, just started yesterday after watching your playlist. Thank you so much for the guides!

Oh thanks for pointing me towards that, I kinda completely forgot ^^
Great episode! I found you for JA3 but now I turned to this game and you help out a lot! You found a follower here!
