Roads and traffic in Kathmandu bhaktapur banepa dhulikhel after lockdown. Roaming around most developed areas of Kathmandu blacktopped pitched roads in Kathmandu. Newly paved roads in Kathmandu area, Nepal.
Banepa (Nepal Bhasa: भोंदेय्, भ्वँँत), a municipality and historical town is a valley situated at about 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level in central Nepal which is at about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east from Kathmandu. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, it has a population of 55,528. The main attraction of Banepa is the temple of Chandeshwori, located approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) northeast of the town along the Rudramati River. The Dhaneshwor Temple is 1 km south of the town. Banepa is also known for its eight different temples of Lord Ganesh, Narayanthan (the temple of Lord Narayan), Bhimshenthan (the temple of Lord Bhimshen) and eight different ponds.
Bhaktapur (Nepali: भक्तपुर, pronounced [ˈbʱʌkt̪ʌpur] (About this soundlisten); lit. "City of Devotees"), also known as Khwopa (Newar: ख्वप Khwopa), is a city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from the capital city, Kathmandu. It is located in and serves as the headquarters of Bhaktapur District in Bagmati Province of Nepal. It is administratively divided into 10 wards.
Khwopa was the largest of the three Newa kingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley and was the capital of Nepal during the great 'Malla Kingdom' until the second half of the 15th century. It has a population of more than 81,728, of which the vast majority are still Newa Nepa mi. Historically more isolated than the other two kingdoms, Kathmandu and Patan, Bhaktapur has a distinctly different form of Nepal Bhasa language.
Bhaktapur has the best-preserved palace courtyards and old city centre in Nepal and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its rich culture, temples, and wood, metal and stone artworks. This is supported by the restoration and preservation efforts of the German-funded Bhaktapur Development Project (BDP).
The city is famous for a special type of dahi (yoghurt) called "Ju Ju Dhau".

Looks like a great scenic alternative to the highway. Somewhat marred by the terrible road surface in parts. Some examples of really bad driving/riding practices. The motorcycle rider who hit a pedestrian and sped off without stopping and the motorcycle rider who carried his helmet on the end of his handlebars rather than on his head!

Thats sad to hear it. narrow roads and speeding off the roads is quite dangerous in this kind of roads in nepal. Hope everyone is aware of it and take care.
Thank you for your concern, Tony Parr
