Well... there’s bad news and some not quite-as-bad news... Van’s Aircraft is increasing most of their kit prices by approximately 32%. Online order forms will be updated with the new kit prices. Prices of individual parts and components will also be increasing, some more than 32%, and others less. While these price changes are significant, Van’s believes them to be necessary. Trevor Jacob, of "intentionally crashed Taylorcraft for TH-cam" fame, recently bragged about getting his pilot’s license back on his TH-cam channel. Jacob started off opaque about exactly what "getting a pilot license back" means, but 7 minutes into the platitude-ridden slog he admits that he has "passed my written and got permission from a CFI to retake my check ride... (and) I passed my checkride." Now that the Samson Sky Switchblade has started flying out of ground effect and started making pattern hops, it's time to look to the future of this program. If the FAA allows Trevor Jacobs to re-obtain his pilot certificate they will be settling a bad precident for future cases . Allowing him to receive special treatment just because he is a rich snott noised bratt is absolutely disgusting. Anyone out here just barely getting by because they are trying to do things the right way would be grounded for life for such an act. How can they waist so much time and effort on giving Trent Palmer so much grief over a neighbors complaint that was falsified is a demonstration of how big brother truly works. I was shocked when i heard Jacobs was given the authority to reinstate his pilot certificate. Shame on the FAA! Jacobs just successfully proved that with enough money you are allowed to break the rules! Infuriating!!!
