The American Church System (ie use of Pastoral title, tithing, evangelizing in Church, business like tactics, making attendees feel good, etc.) is the problem.
In my humble opinion, I think Evangelism should have been mentioned right off the bat. Christians who aren’t spreading the gospel are wasting precious time: “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison- that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.” Colossians 4:2-5 ESV “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 ESV
Why do you call the church the building. You said church and showed a building. The 'church' is to be a place where believers can fellowship. This indicates a building. We are the church. I like the focus or purpose you describe and the things we should be doing.
His church exists to worship. Evangelism flows out of worship. Evangelism is not the purpose of the Church.. Worship is. The Bible is God's hymnal to Himself given to us.
