We departed early from NZCS to go for a look up the Matukituki Valley as we have an hour spare. We encountered some low fog up valley but found a great spot to touch down and kick some stones....
I remember, when I working in Aspiring area in early 80s, the older pilots talking about the dangers of the big boulders lurking on the gravel flats…how was Matukituki? Have you flown in to the Olivines or Cascade? Nice vids , cheers
