I loved this episode. Your “brand” is loving each other, fixing what doesn’t work and always smiling, no blaming and never taking each other for granted. Don’t change. Your channel inspires.
How come your channel doesn’t have many many more subscribers. I have loved your channel and recommend to others because you are just the most happy couple with each phase of your life. You have such enthusiasm for each new project even taking in some piggies and making them your loved pets. Good Luck and keep on giving me the giggles as I watch your show each week. Hope this year you at least get to 50000 subscribers.🤞🤞
They will definitely grow :) they are a relatively "new" channel..and once they reach over 50,000 subs, they will get big quickly :) It's just a matter of time 😊
It looks so good I would not turn it back into a barn when the house is done - I'd keep it as a guest house for family/friends visits and build a barn somewhere else♥
No one is more thankful than I am when the furnace kicks on at 5:30 a.m. and takes the chill off so I can get up and make my way to the bathroom without getting frostbite! Once it snows heavily, I don't want to stick a toe outside the duvet until the furnace has raised the temperature at least 10°!!! I don't mind my face being cold at night, but the rest of me objects strongly! Forget "Home Sweet Home"! I want "Home Warm Home"!
The heavier the curtain the warmer or more draughty proof it will be. I’m a great believer in using curtains to keep draughts out! You can also use light weight rugs on walls to keep warmth in. The chestnut cladding is looking good! Happy new year to you all. Have a great week❤️
Oh my heart, when you said his pillow talk was about heating, I lost my husband 1 year ago on dec 14 th. and his pillow talk was always about his new ideas for different things. I love watching you guys use everything in multiple ways.
Just love it you two never cease to amaze me. You children are learning so much about life from your handwork and will certainly be cosy warm and safe all winter long. Much respect to you Badger and Kayla watching from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 👏 🇦🇺👍🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great work on the cladding, and so good to see available materials used - I will take some inspiration from that when I come to build another door and frame for ours later in the year. Happy new year, and take care.
Amazing ❤ the wood cladding is so rustic and beyond 'rough and ready' 😂....great work you guys!!!! Last few weeks were really chilly, glad about the heating upgrade.
The cladding is like a warm jacket and the heating a warm hug, which is hard to say as it’s 39 degrees here today. Great video with much achieved. Happy new year to you all. Pauline, Melbourne, Australia
Yes incredible !!!!!! cladding Badger Incredible Central heating Badger. excellent curtains Badger Beaut painting bathroom floor Kayla !!!!!! The wood cladding just is sooooo Perfect it completely finishes your beautiful barn home.
Love this, the front of the barn looks beautiful and you can't beat a warm space in winter. I'd love to hear badgers ideas on heating, we are definitely not plumbers so all information is very very welcome.
What a way to start the new year!!! I adore the cladding, it is so beautiful, and fits the vibe perfectly. As always the attention to detail pays off. Well done on your “cozification”. I remember winter in an old caravan in Central Victoria, Australia, back in the 80’s. Watching your breath vaporise above you while you are still in bed, and getting dressed under the covers is not much fun. All the best for 2025! 💚🐈⬛
Im very glad you have now some heating to keep you all warm through the winter. I do think you should get a much thicker curtain up to keep the draft out and cover the windows to the sides with it too..HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉
The cladding looks great and the bathroom floor will be a lot easier to keep clean and waterproof. Suggest to hang heavy block out curtains in the lounge as a lot of heat is lost thru the windows. Your barn will be a great place for guest etc after you are in the main house. 😀
Just a little tip. If you raise up the tables that you have your boards on, when you are sanding it will be a lot easier on your back! Greeting from Vancouver Canada
Looks great. Beautiful …. I am kind of jealous in a good way 😊. Wish you a wonderful 2025 to your family and get to 100,000 subscribers….it’s possible others have done it and you deserve it. Love you guys. ❤
Unbelievable!!. You are unable to find cork tiles in a country that has an abundance of cork trees. Doing a fantastic job in cladding and installing heating. Congratulations. Happy New Year to you all. Tasmanian Sarah.
Loving the animal helpers over seeing that all is correct and completed nicely…. Happy New year guys and sending love health and happiness to all from Dubai ❤
Thanks to those that spotted black and white kitty! I went back and re-watched and sure enough! It even went inside. Trixie could tell us if its a new "adoptee".😂 I was so busy concentrating I n them and the cladding I missed kitty. Craig you did alot of work also and appreciate all your faithful help. At around 7:53 the piece of music playing sounded like what might be "Portugal " music but being sung in English ,I think. I liked the sound.
I noticed that most of youtubers don t finish the job they are doing at once, so you are not an exception. But Ii am amazed how long you stayed in the house which is not finished. It must be the Portugal weather! Never the less I love your videos!
I know you want to let the light in but to keep out drafts you need to use much heavier curtains. Love the cladding! Nothing beats getting up to a warm room.
King size bed quilts make the best winter curtain for large glass doors that is what I use on my sliding glass door little sewing is needed you can even use curtain clips 🖇️
Happy New Year to you all wow the Tiny Barn Cottage really is looking amazing.... luv it ... wishing you all an amazing 2025 as 2024 was jam packed with plenty of great vlogs cheers Debz from Oz
Though I came from the UK, most of my diy experience has been here in Canada. As I learned about building with wood, much different from bricks and mortar with the need for damp courses, cavity walls, to prevent moisture problems. With wood construction you still need a vapor barrier under your bottom plate. However,by far the biggest challenge is a vapor barrier in the walls. This has to go on the warm side of any insulation to prevent condensation rotting your studs etc. I remember when you were installing your floor, draping a black sheet over and between the joists. You then put insulation in the gutters between the joists. Your great big boards went on top. I seem to remember you were working at this in the heat of summer. Two questions cropped up. Were you protecting against the summer heat? Or the cold you reported today? Secondly, was that black sheet a vapor barrier? I remembered all this when you used a waterproof paint on the bathroom floor. It seems obvious that you will need guest bedroom space in the future. Avoiding wood rot could be key to the barns longevity.. I hope you have already covered this potential problem. You know the building trades way more than this old retired family doctor. More power to you 🙏

They need some of the other bigger channels to give them a mention and a share. Hope they continue to grow too, they deserve to. Love them!
They will definitely grow :) they are a relatively "new" channel..and once they reach over 50,000 subs, they will get big quickly :)
It's just a matter of time 😊
Maybe they need to look into what thumbnails & titles work better. They have not increased subscribers in a year. But the # of views makes them money.
@@cindy-ml7vo I think the spaces between their name is working against them. Search engines do not find them
Thank you so much that’s so kind to say! Hopefully we will grow soon 😊
Definitely thicker curtains in the living room the outside looks amazing and so glad you're all warm
Agree
Agree some block out ones would keep it a lot warmer in winter or cooler in summer
Just when we think that the barn is beautiful you upgrade and make it look even better. It looks amazing.❤
It’s too cute of a barn house to turn it back. It’s a perfect little guest house!
Darling Cozy outside! Cozy warm inside! Win win! Tons accomplished! Have a great week!❤❤
It looks so good I would not turn it back into a barn when the house is done - I'd keep it as a guest house for family/friends visits and build a barn somewhere else♥

Yes absolutely we need to get some we were just using what we had but keeping my eye out for so nice thick ones 🥰
Oh my heart, when you said his pillow talk was about heating, I lost my husband 1 year ago on dec 14 th. and his pillow talk was always about his new ideas for different things.

that exterior shingle cladding is amazing. well done

The barn will be a great guest house and a clubhouse when the kids are teens and you want them out of your hair. :) Also: New Cat!!!
Did I MISS a new cat??
@@Cecelia-zp9qd I saw one. Dunno if it was a stray but it's black and white and was there when they were cutting boards.
The barn is a nice home that is getting warmer. The cladding looks great. Great video as always.
Cracking job on the cladding and you must have been so happy to do some plumbing 😂😂 x
The cladding is like a warm jacket and the heating a warm hug, which is hard to say as it’s 39 degrees here today. Great video with much achieved. Happy new year to you all. Pauline, Melbourne, Australia

Yes I definitely would go with black out curtains with the thick backing on it. They can always be pulled back in the day time.
Yes I think so too I have been keeping my eye out for some thick ones 😊
Cladding is beautiful, and now you're warmer too - jobs very well done!
What an amazing job! I didn’t think the biny tarn could get any better! ❤
