    A very good summary study. It facilitates the recurring use of the timer for many years. In the meantime, the range has been expanded to include a variety of timer types, but this type (e.g. YYC-2S) offers the most timing options. Big thanks to Robojax for this study.

      You are welcome. this video was 2nd or 3rd time consuming video. I had spends full day testing and then creating the images on Photoshop. It is sold heavily on eBay and AliExpress but the problem is in China most people don't put a model number and that makes it very hard to find the same product. So people won't find this video. Hopefully google will make it easy with image.

    Thank You very much for the detailed test of this timer! I am building my own TIG welder and this is a great device to make my welder able to do argon post-flow, pre-flow, T2 and T4 functions and pulsed TIG function (P32 or P33). On another delay timer was the option to solder on a jumper to make the ground permenent for the trigger so i dont need an additional wire for the trigger ground. Can this be done on this timer as well? There is a solder option next to the Voltage regulators and three solder pads on the back side at the IN- and IN+ connectors which are suspicious. Thank you!

    Nice Video - I recently purchased a YYC-2S and ran through ALL the tests while watching your video. I believe there are problems with the P24 description which also shows up subtly in your video also . I believe it's due to a hardware bug. The 2nd time delay in P24 which you call AND the DISPLAY also indicates a "A" is incorrect. The second delay is actually counting down the TB time yet the display indicates it is "A". You can easily verify this by running P24 with TA set to 10 sec and TB set to 5 sec and observe what the second delay is shown as "A" but it counts down from 5 sec (the "B" parameter) rather than 10 sec, which is the "A" parameter. I believe that's got to be a hardware issue as YOUR unit is behaving exactly as mine.
    I noticed also that my P41 has a total different functionality than what your video indicates. I'll explain that one in another comment. I can't say why they are different but they certainly are. Perhaps a different design revision?

    I really love the simple way you teach in all your videos! I bought this module and made sure it had both regulators on board. If it regulates the input why did I have to chose the voltage I was going to use? I chose the 5v and I do see this stated on the relay. But won't it regulate the voltage down if I actually want to use a 12v supply?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome. I am glad you find them useful. I had to watch the video to answer your question. The input voltage matters because the input voltage must much that of relay. The regular used it for the Microcontroller (MCU)so it will keep it at the MCU level.

    I am trying to run a small 12v dc motor & have connected wiring as per your video at 4:07. Program P14. I don’t have a push button switch so just touch together the two blue wires. Program counts down exactly as it should but I don’t get any voltage from the out terminals.
    I have tried two different timers and both will not run motor.
    I get 12.12v from dc+ and dc- terminals.
    11.39v from dc+ and IN+
    terminals
    12.12v from dc+ and IN- terminals.
    When I measure voltage at the two blue wires I get 11.39v.
    What have I done incorrectly???
    Is 11.39v just too low to run a motor??

    Good day sir! am from Philippines and a fan of your blog. I would like to ask if it is safe to use a relay timer module with a 20a 14vdc, 20a 125vca relay on 220v loads. I just bought online this "XY-WJ01 LED Digital Time Delay Relay Switch Module Time" and planning to use this on my 220v UV light water sterilizer but too hesitant upon seeing the spec of the relay that you have on your module which has an 250vac. I have ask already the seller ang he says that its ok to use. And i have been watching reviews on yt with this module using 220v loads. And if it is not ok, can i replace it with a relay the same that you have on your module?

  • @Quasardian
    @Quasardian 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Could you tell me what function I would need for my application, I couldn't figure it out.
    I'm not even sure if this function is available.
    My trigger signal is always on, short de-power would be my trigger.
    If the trigger de-powers for a short amount of time, the output should be on for 15 seconds. (or off, I don't think it matters since I can use NC or NO)
    If trigger goes off before end of program it should reset the timer.
    I hope this is possible, if there is another device with a smaller display. That would be preferable.

    Thanks, I learned a lot from your videos. I have one question about this timer module. I would like to trigger the timer with a ldr. I would set the timer for lets say 5 or 6 hours. But after 6 hours it will still be dark and the ldr would trigger the module again. I only want the timer to turn on the light for 5 a 6 hours and then the next day (evening) again. Its for led lights outside (garden) 12 volt. Is this possible with this module

    • @robojax
      @robojax  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the LDR I believe will should not work as LDR has very low current. I have not tested it but this i just assumption. Also LDR needs controller module like this. th-cam.com/video/iNea_HM967A/w-d-xo.html or learn about LDR here th-cam.com/video/gkyLnEgu7w0/w-d-xo.html

    • @arjansleurink3659

      @@robojax Thank you. Yes i would use a LDR module but the problem would be the LDR module triggering the timer again because it's still dark. 13:20 P18: i never get voltage on output - although relais klicks after supplying with 12V and timer is showing countdown - what can be the reason?
    update: i found the solution
    the relais just switches the positive voltage - you have to connect the DC input to the middle screw of the relais (if you want to use the DC input as powersource for your load as me) and the output to the 3rd screw

  • @frankg8253
    @frankg8253 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    As a follow up to my previous comment.
    FYI - P41 has different funtionality on MY YYC-2s than displayed in your video when re-triggered during the TA coundown.
    In the video, the initial trigger turns the light ON and begins the TA countdown. When you re-triggered during TA, your light remains on and the TA countdown is stopped and displayed with it's current count. When the Triggers stop, the countdown resumes from where it was stopped and the light goes OFF when the count gets to A0000.
    In my YYC-2s The initial trigger turns the light ON and begins the TA countdown. But when I re-trigger during TA countdown the following happens with each re-trigger.
    When trigger button is depresses during TA Countdown
    - The light goes OFF and the display shows A0000 for as long as button is depressed
    When trigger button is then released
    - The light comes ON and the TA countdown restarts from the beginning.
    Just as if it were the initial trigger. As expected, the light stays ON until the TA count goes to A0000
    I have no idea why our units behave differently.
    Either because of a hardware fault or an intentional design change.
    I guess my conclusion is that you're video is very helpful in learning the button functionality but it's also possible that there may be multiple versions of the YYC-2s that have slightly different program functions than described in your video. Any Ideas?
    Thanks Again

      10A is the current. Even if ou put car battery with 120A still it is 12V. So voltage is important. I have mentioned what is the maximum voltage.

    • @robojax

      Yes it will work. You don't need anything extra. You just need to identify the pins. Remove this and solder wires in holes of pins and solder the wires to your larger size display. I assume it would be twice as large. It will be a little dimmer but it will work. But if you want to connect it to very large LED which needs power, then you need transistors to drive it.

    Hi, what I would like to do is the following please tell me if this will do the following:
    1) I want to connect a small DC motor to come on say every 1 or 2 hours for about 5 seconds. So basically I want the motor to spin for 5 seconds on whatever speed and then go on standby for whatever time I need.
    2) I want this to work from only 2 double AA rechargeable batteries.
    Is this possible or do I need mains power supply which I want to avoid. I'm in UK but just want this to work with rechargeable double AA battery and of course only for few seconds with delay and then repeat...
    Thank you.

    • @robojax
      @robojax  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, 1- You can use loop to do something you gotta watch the video to make sure you can see loop or repeat time and set it to infinity
      2-it will not work with 2 AA because AA is 1.5Vx2=3V and this needs higher voltage. you can use a module that gets the 3V and converts it to 5V . Watch this video for the module th-cam.com/video/LMKiPE_2Uu4/w-d-xo.html you can get the module form Amazon. Good luck
