There’s an easier way to do the loose zipper. Just take a ring from your keychain, slide it onto the zipper, zip up the pants and hook the ring over the button and button up the pants.

That was to show how to adjust if your pants don’t fit well on the band part but the rest of it still fits. I’m one of those that gained weight just on the belly and I don’t wanna give up my jeans. So I can do it that way.
The first one with the panels... I feel like only looks good from the front or back, but the side view, not so much. The drum style purse is actually kind of cute. Not sure I would trust my valuables in it though! 😂😂
You can buy stretch denim that would blend in with the jeans so it would be much less obvious. Probably used black knit fabric to show how it's done more clearly.
