Fine video on the A&NR, its history and equipment. The SSW (Cotton Belt) once had a branch line from Tyler to Lufkin which in its last years had trackage rights on the A&NR between at or near Keltys and Lufkin. One can it on the later Southern Pacific maps that showed this branch line.
Great video. The SP SW 1500 ran down the middle of my street many years a go. Listening to them doubled up Pulling a long train was pure heaven. The UP runs a line now with GP 40s.
